We have talked about getting another boy kitty since Bo passed away last summer. We currently have three girl cats. Today was the day. It is perfect timing since my last day of school was last Thursday (I still have finals, but that will only take up a few hours and I’ll be done Thursday this week). Then I’m off for a month.
I was looking at Petfinder and saw this sweetie. We went to the no-kill shelter and adopted Manny. He’s 13 weeks old and just got neutered and microchipped last Wed. He is so sweet! He has not stopped purring since we brought him home. Merry Christmas to me!
Cant find the thread right now, but I popped open the obligatory new kitteh pic, and thought I was looking at a fluffy little clone of my kitteh Jezabel

The girls haven’t met him yet - he’s been sneezing and I’ll need to wait until my vet sees him and gives us some antibiotics for that. So I’ve isolated him but he hates to be alone; I suspect he’s never been alone before in his life. He was the last of his sibs to be adopted but they had put some slightly younger kittens in with him.
I just don’t know if we should keep the name Manny. My SO likes it. He said he’s always wanted to name a cat after where he used to live (Manitou Springs), and it does fit him.
They do look very alike. The white strip on my kitten’s forehead goes all the way back and joins up with his body (I’m a geology student and it looks remarkably similar to an intrusion that has been faulted and offset a little), and he has some cow-like spots in his white body.
I’ve gone ahead and combined the two threads about new kittens in case anyone’s confused by the last few posts. Cute as the kittens are, we prefer to have only one thread going at a time.
Ohhhh a new key key. I miss having a kitten and threads like these just make me want one even more.
He looks so sweet but don’t let that fool ya. He will be getting into trouble soon enough and his name will go from Manny to “Little Stinker” or “Shit head” very soon
