New Peanut M&Ms

Have you tried the new peanut M&Ms?

There’s honey nut, coffee nut and chili nut.

I’ve tried all three and my fave is the chili nut. I would like it to be hotter and spicier because I like hot and spicy things. But you know they got to tone it down to sell the most product which means not making it too hot so that the people who are all like, “I don’t like anything spicier than salt.” will buy it.

The coffee nut was good too and I do like coffee candy but I like spicy more.

The honey nut was ok. Nothing special in my books.

So waht do you peeps think?

Punch the poll in the face! Like a boss!

Chili nut was so good. I’m not really a coffee person, and honey + chocolate? Nope, too sweet.

The chili nut at least sounds like there’s an outside chance it’s edible.

Woo! Haven’t seen these yet, but I’m a-gonna try 'em all! They all sound really damn good!

There is just enough spicy to them that you notice it and a slight burn that lasts a little bit after you’re done eating them, but like I said I wish there was more.

They are. But like BrassyPhrase said the honey nut are sweet on sweet. Now sometimes that is what I’m in the mood for and sometimes not.

Yikes! Now i have to be careful about M&Ms. :frowning:

(I don’t eat spicy)

Me neither, but I’m in! Yippee!!

Will they be limited edition? I hope they last long enough to appear at airports so that I can get one on my next trip. When I do get M&Ms, I usually buy the peanut ones. This may be interesting.

None of these sound that good to me but coffee sounds the best of the three. Honey nut sounds like overkill and chili nut sounds revolting (though I know mixing chocolate with savory flavors is not new). I wouldn’t refuse to taste any of them, nor would I go out of my way to buy them.

Someone is going to come up with a way to make the spicy ones more spicy.

They are limited edition for now but they are letting people vote for their favorite flavor on M&Ms Facebook page and they say which ever one gets the most votes will be permanent.

I haven’t tried them but I know I would like honey nut the best. I like coffee with chocolate desserts, but not coffee flavored chocolate or chocolate flavored coffee, which is probably weird but there you go. Not a fan of the spicy chocolate thing. But I love honey roasted peanuts, so I would be most likely to try those. As someone mentioned above, I think peanut M&Ms are the perfect candy to take on a flight. I love those things, I’d have them around all the time if that didn’t equate to me eating them all the time.

Don’t fix what ain’t broke!

Adding new choices and alternatives isn’t “fixing what ain’t broke.” It’s widening the selection.

Complaining about this is like saying that strawberry ice cream is somehow a bad thing, because you only like chocolate and vanilla. Wider diversity in cuisine choices is nearly always a good thing. It doesn’t have to be a zero-sum game.

Is it a zero-sum game in fact? Every so often, some company will offer a new soft-drink flavor. Sometimes, these zoom instantly to be my favorite. Ah, how I miss Aspen, the apple-flavored soft drink. But it didn’t make the grade. Gone now. Phooey… Should someone who likes, say, Barq’s Root Beer be glad (or relieved) that Aspen is gone, because it posed a market threat to Barq’s viability?

(Taco Bell, locally, has Manzanita Sol, a spiffing nice apple-flavored soda. But, again, should someone else be opposed to this, because it’s taking up one of the six nozzles and thus might displace his own favorite?)

“Make the pie higher!”

Mmmm, high pie.

I’d like to try all of these, but I doubt they’ll ever appear at my local candy counter.

My concern isn’t that regular peanut M&Ms will go away, but that I might mistakenly eat one of these when I am expecting peanut M&Ms. I really don’t like spicy food. Enough that if these look like peanut M&Ms, I will stop eating peanut M&Ms to avoid the possibility of eating these instead.

I’ve tried all three and I wasn’t overly impressed. I like the original peanut M&M’s better.

The spiciness of the Spicy M&M’s is pretty mild. But I’m not really looking for spiciness at all in my candy.

The honey flavor in the Honey M&M’s is not very noticeable. I could have eaten the bag without knowing I was eating a different flavor. Maybe it would be more distinctive if I was eating them alongside a bag of regular ones.

The Coffee M&M’s were the best of the three. You actually could taste the coffee flavor and it worked well with the chocolate and peanuts. But in my opinion, it still wasn’t as good as the original.

Well, I hope the limited edition lasts until June or so, or better yet, they “limited” but start selling it in other countries.

I think saying the Chili has “heat” is generous. It’s barely discernible at all.
