NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

Make America February Again!

“The stakes are very high this election, but you know why I know we’re going to win?” Tillis said in a speech at the North Carolina Republican virtual convention Friday night. “Because people remember how good their lives were back in February.”

Alex Jones is pushing the conspiracy theory that Wayfair is selling kidnapped children inside their furniture that they’re selling.

Maybe they should change the company name to Waifare.

That man needs to be muzzled, permanently. He gets to eat, drink, breathe, and vomit. No talking allowed, ever again.

We are getting trolled. No one can be that stupid. Oh… wait…

How soon before CFSG tweets about investigating Wayfair?

What Jones is saying is slightly different than that, but still nuts, and really too convoluted to figure out what the hell he’s saying. From the link:

So it’s a conspiracy to create a conspiracy theory, to hide their child sex trafficking with stories of child sex trafficking.

…and they’d have gotten away with it too, if it wasn’t for the meddling fat, shouty twat

We’re now at the point where the Republican whackjobs are now throwing their own people under the bus with startling regularity.

Trump blamed his own supporters and own shitty contractors (and campaign contributors) for building a shitty wall to “make him look bad”

Now Alex (nutbar) Jones blames his own staff for printing an idiotic conspiracy theory, so he has to come up with an even crazier conspiracy theory to explain it.

Ted Cruz caught not wearing the mandatory mask on his American Airlines flight.

Tucker Carlson is now going on a “long-planned vacation” that he forgot to mention until the end of tonight’s show.

Going on vacation after getting caught being a reprehensible human being is the “checked into rehab for exhaustion” of Fox News commentators.

I actually saw a meme on Facebook suggesting that the name is code for exactly that. Waif=a small child; fare=the amount you pay for something.

According to snopes, this whole conspiracy “theory” seems to be based on one guy on Reddit noting that Wayfair’s price on a cabinet seemed unusually high, and deciding that therefore, they must be secretly engaging in human trafficking.

Extreme (non-contact) facepalm.

Another one? Didn’t this happen last year after he … did something or other really stupid that I can’t remember because there has been so much stupidity and who wants to remember his in particular?

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp knows that the easiest way to win is to simply change what words mean and what the rules are:

From The New York Times, “Last August, Mr. Carlson went on vacation two days after he likened white supremacy to a “hoax,” saying it was “actually not a real problem in America,” remarks that prompted some advertisers to distance themselves from his show.”

The Republican Party is considering moving their Jacksonville convention to an outdoors location. In Florida. In August.

Hurricane season will be underway then. Good move. :+1:t3:

Florida’s death rate is starting to move up, after the expected lag time. New record today.

By the time of the convention, the state looks to be in full blown crisis mode. Will make for interesting optics.

I see an Executive Order forbidding people from dying if it embarrasses the President in our future.
