NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

Yeah. Any posturings about being surprised they’ve been identified and found ring pretty hollow.

I think any alterations to his DNA are bound to be an improvement.

A large fraction of mutations are not beneficial to the organism, so I would not count on it. Some things are just so fundamentally messed up that anything you do to them makes them worse.

If said mutation were to result in incapacitation (or even death), how is that not an improvement?

It may be beneficial to us, but not, look at the post, to the organism. Not that I seek to insult organisms by comparing them to the orange dung heap.

Aye but E-DUB didn’t specify that, did he?

Somebody better than me needs to start a Pit thread for GA Rep Qlanne of Greene Wharrgarbls. She paid herself over $30K in mileage costs from her campaign fund, which works out to nearly thirty seven thousand miles of driving since April. Almost two and a half times as much for travel as her predecessor claimed – over a decade.

I guess this is the best place for this but I have discovered why my patients’ blood pressure is so high. Apparently one of the executive orders that Biden signed lowered the age of consent to eight. I try not to talk politics with patients but more than one has volunteered this as an excuse for why they are upset. The legalization of pedophilia has apparently started. I will say, however, that one person managed to raise his blood pressure to 240/165 which even I found impressive.

Lets hope the idiots will all stop buying flags then

The gold fringe acts as an antenna.

That strikes me as total BS, but my google-fu is failing. Can someone else try to track this down?

I found this, but I’d like to find something that directly addresses this assertion.

psychobunny can correct me if I’m wrong, but I read that as the patient believes this Q-type, wildly untrue story- there is no factual basis.

Of course, this is crap, but psychobunny used “patients’” plural (correctly) and also said that more than one patient believes this. My bold.

I’d like to see a news item that asserts this baloney. Why? I dunno. Glutton for punishment?

I’m sure it is a Facebook meme - you’d have to know someone who distributes that particular branch of crazy to see it - I’d guess Q believers are the source. There may have been some small kernel in an actual news story somewhere that got distorted, but that isn’t even necessary.

Can they put the disclaimer ON the tracking device?

A crummy commercial? Sunuvabitch!

Add, “But we have our eye on you Arizona”

Apparently several people arrested in the assault on the Capitol didn’t actually vote in the election, and several were registered as Democrats

The small kernel of truth, and it’s pretty damn small, is there was a bill up for vote in CA that would expand a judge’s ability to use discretion in placing a sex offender on the registry if their offense was consensual sex with an older teenager close to their age.

The judge already had this ability, but only with regards to offenses regarding vaginal sex. The expansion would extend their discretion to other sexual acts.

Of course
A. It has nothing to do with Biden, it was a referendum in the CA state election.
B. The references to “8 year olds” is probably an extrapolation based on a misreading of the bill, as the bill offers protections to adults convicted of a sexual offense with someone less than 10 years younger than them—— and an 8 year old is 10 years younger than the guy that just became a legal adult. But the bill also specifies that it doesn’t apply to offenses with minors under 14… so total misread.

This was taken from an article here…it’s a really good article for a local paper. I applaud them.

It’s employment insurance for those people who write your name on a grain of rice at the county fair.
