NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 1)

Matt Gaetz’s response to the allegations; the deep state is blackmailing me for $25 million and my father is wearing a wire to expose them, so they planted this accusation to stop me from thwarting their plan and as soon as the FBI releases the tapes you’ll all see how innocent I am.

He accused decorated senior DOJ investigator David McGee of blackmailing him for $25 million.
He then went on Fucker Carlson’s show and tried to rope him into it, saying “Remember when you and I went to dinner with the 17 year old woman I was seeing and nothing happened?”

Fox News has no idea how to spin this story yet. So they are avoiding it completely on their website.

Margarine Taylor Greene says that vaccine passports are “corporate communism”, which I can only get a “What the hell are you talking about?” out of Marx.

Whereas someone on my Facebook feed compared them to the numbers tattooed on Holocaust victims!

What does “corporate communism” even mean? Oftentimes, I hear a new phrase and I can tease it out based on the juxtaposition of the two ideas. But this? It’s alliterative, I guess? but?

I think she’s just dumb, dumb, dumb.

Actually that may not be alliterative, just repetitive. But she’s still just dumb.

I think it’s part of that ignominious list of RW buzz words that’s meant to be an albatross around the neck of whatever they associate it with.

In the immortal words of “Blazing Saddles:”

Are you crazy? They’ll never go for it. And then again they might.

If the RW called labradoodles “the favorite dog of the Marxist,” the breed would all but disappear in the red states.

Maybe you can’t give them water, but can you give the people waiting in line free guns?

I’m not sure that it’s appropriate, but if I were a lawyer in that judge’s court, I’d be pretty tempted to misgender him whenever he is addressed.

Could he hold you in contempt for something that he declares is permissible?

Oh oh - she might get some pushback from all the “Russians are Better Than the Democrats” tee-wearers.

This is a really, really awful decision in my totally-not-a-lawyer opinion.

He says he doesn’t “believe in transgenderism”. If transgenderism is a belief, why isn’t it accorded the same respect as his belief? Why is he able to mock others’ beliefs but no one is able to mock his? :face_with_raised_eyebrow: Oh yeah…

The author of that article calls him out on some things too:

Even a religious nondiscrimination policy?

Only if evangelical Christianity.

Tempting but I’m not sure how this would be achieved. “Yes, your honorette.”

Are judges never referred to using pronouns?

His/her ruling. His/her courtroom. Or is always genderless Judge Smith’s ruling, The Honorable Judge Jones’s Courtroom?
