Republican or Russian? Either way, these are stupid.
I consume a ton of news and I never heard of most of those. I’m not sure what that might mean, but I find it sort of comforting.
Poor old Ann—reduced to expressing outrage over stuff she’s fantasizing about.
Though I guess that’s pretty much her normal modus operandi…
That world view applies to every Conservative I know. They rejoice in insular ignorance.
Except the male anti-abortion folks, who care deeply about something that doesn’t directly affect them.
If It’s any consolation, I care about the treatment of ICE detainees, the unwanted hysterectomies of some of them, the wildfires in California, people I don’t know and have never met contracting Covid-19, and the murder of black people by police, none of which directly affect me either.
A large group of Individual 1 supporters, waving flags for him and shouting Four More Years, rallied outside a polling place in Fairfax, Virginia. I’ve seen that they were blocking people from getting inside, but I can’t verify that.
Could be worse. They could have been chanting, “Twelve more years”.
This is just the beginning. Wait until all those absentee ballots are just piled up somewhere waiting to be counted.
I am of the opinion that every hysterical fever dream that Ann has should be post-haste adopted as a platform plank and promoted by Dems.
It goes back to when I was a child and I was crying about something or other, my father would always say, “Stop that, OR I WILL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO CRY ABOUT!” Meaning he would hit me.
So, for every crazy idea Ann and her ilk accuse the Dems of, they should say, “Yep, x 100!”
The official Virginia GOP Twitter account, responding to the New York Times article on Individual 1 supporters blocking voters:
Quick! Somebody call the waaaambulance!
They are officially supporting voter suppression.
It’s an interesting concept. But it would be WAY too good for her career. So: I vote ‘no.’
Just saw a television ad for Oberweis for Congress in which they showed video of the incumbent Democrat talking about “beautiful protests” then juxtaposed video of rioting, looting, and arson, with all or nearly all the rioters and looters being black.

Give up already, Jimmy, and stick to making ice cream, it’s the only thing you’re good at.
You didn’t get into the Senate with your pandering “Soldier Field full of illegal immigrants” ad years ago and you ain’t getting in to the lower House now.
-
Protests aren’t riots or looting, you ignorant schmuck! Another pandering ad, this time following Trump’s “all protests=riots and looting” herp-derp.
Oberweis, Oberweis, we’re not happy to see you. Soft and white, but not clean or bright, you curse my homestate forever.

On one thing, at least, we can count: Senate Republicans know that filling a Supreme Court vacancy is far too important a responsibility to rush through a nominee in the year before an election. Let alone in the last six weeks! They were very, very clear on that point four years ago, and their word means everything to them. I have no doubt they will do the right thing! (I’m sorry, after typing that, my voice shriveled up and I caught on fire.)
Mitch McConnell is a man of principle — oh, no, my hand melted and the bones became snakes and slithered away under my writing table. Lindsey Graham will do what is right — oh my goodness, I’m sinking into the earth! Help! My mouth is filling up with sand!
The Senate Republicans need simply be told that to push another nominee through now, before the election, would be hypocritical, after what they said in 2016 about Merrick Garland, and they are sure to stop. After all, their word means everything to them. Hmm, every Constitution in a six-mile radius just caught fire for no discernible reason.
They were in absolute earnest that the people must have their say. I cannot imagine them going back on their word — oh no, I’m imagining it. Oh, no, it’s happening. Who could have foreseen this?
…
Remember that in 2016, Lindsey Graham said, “I want you to use my words against me. If there’s a Republican president in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of the first term, you can say Lindsey Graham said let’s let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination.”
Yeah, pretty sure when you try to use those words against him, he’s gonna say “But there wasn’t a Republican President in 2016. The presidency was held by a Democrat until January, 2017, so none of the rest of that applies.”
Or possibly “We’re counting the term starting January 20, 2021 as his ACTUAL first term, because no President has been treated as badly as he has (you can just ask him), so we’re giving him a do-over.”
Fox “doctor” accusing Biden of being on drugs.
Senator Kelly Loeffler brags about being more conservative than Atilla The Hun.
Hmmm… they spelled trump wrong in that headline. Everything else seems right.
In 2018, Graham explicitly said a vacancy in the last year of Trump’s term in office should be held until after the election.
