If they can get the fetus legally recognized as a dependent, it’ll make it that much easier to charge a mother with murder for miscarriages.

If it were possible to ruin a modern monitor the way old monitors could be ruined by leaving a particular image onscreen for too long…a lot of monitors would be ruined.
My guess is that the surrogate gets the tax credit…then the state can use this to deny parenthood to the people she is carrying for.
Pfft don’t be ridiculous! The couple hiring the surrogate are (almost invariably) the ones with MONEY in this situation, so it is axiomatic that their parental rights shall not be infringed.
Surrogate parenting is seen as left-wing and against the “natural order”.

Nitpick - disability does not only cover injuries. If I had not had my brain tumor removed, I would be receiving disability for it.
