NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

Lil Eric Trump just admitted that his dad used the FBI for personal purposes.

Lindsey Graham failed to show in court yesterday.

After Scott Perry’s phone got taken by the FBI, they subpoenaed several Pennsylvania legislators’ records involved in the attempt to overturn the 2020 election.

Every accusation is a confession.

More projection than a multiplex.

They are definitely tired of asking nicely for phone records, only to find that they have been mysteriously “wiped”. Now the just need to seize them with court ordered search warrants.

While the article is somewhat relevant to the thread(though it would be better placed in “controversial encounters”), it isn’t relevant to Lindsey Graham.

Ops. Sorry. Wrong link. Sen. Lindsey Graham a no-show at scheduled Fulton County court appearance

As I can’t tell if this proposal is stupid or evil, I am posting here as I think it leans more toward stupid.

Summing up the two links posted below: Republican lawmaker is proposing that since they think that Trump will be arrested in Florida, they will cut ties with law enforcement federal agencies, arresting them if operating in Florida.
This state lawmaker is a possible U.S. Congress-member, as he’s running for election.

My reaction is if this ‘gentleman’ is successful how nuclear should the federal gov’t reaction be. I would vote for a near complete shutdown of all federal operations in the state, and if/when they have another natural disaster the very minimum of assistance.

Posted two links, as the second is to a more opinionated website.

Does that include federal penitentiaries?

I’m for having the feds arrest any local law enforcement that tries to stop them. And carting them off to some unnamed detention center. maybe Gitmo.

They secretly call me “Mr. Tact.”

Federal law enforcement outranks local law enforcement. Sure the locals can claim jurisdiction, but they’d have to go through channels. A governor can’t simply say, ‘OK, we outrank you now.’

So let’s say Deputy Fife tries to arrest Elliot Ness. Ness says, ‘In a pig’s eye!’ Does Deputy Fife draw his weapon? Could there be gun battles between the feds and the locals? What federal assets could be mobilised to quash what could be called an insurrection?

to summarize the second article, the ‘person’s’ plan is two parts:

  1. stop communication with federal agencies from Florida state and other local gov’ts.
  2. use the 10th amendment to force the federal gov’t to have to ask permission to operate in the state.

I can see it now, Can we please investigate EPA violations of local bigwig, who probably gives money to politicians or Can we please audit bigwig’s taxes or can we inspect local bigwig’s operation of their factory, farm, etc.

Thats why if they pass this, they should be almost completely cutoff.

I doubt they would have problems with federal prisons.

Sounds a lot like the secession hot air. An unwillingness to admit how much milk the proponent state sucks out of the federal tit. And and utter ignorance of the consequences of the proposed notion. Stupid fucks.

Republicans are once again showing they have more loyalty to Trump than they do to the country. And they don’t see a problem with that.

Rudy said if (if?) Individual 1 wins in 2024, he’s going to raid Biden’s house(s).

For what, exactly?

Revenge.

So, after complaining that the democrats are “weaponizing of the DOJ” against political opponents, and noting how bad that is, the republicans are…going to weaponize the DOJ against political opponents.

Which, of course, as the article pointed out, they already did under Trump.

Self awareness and honesty are in opposition to Republican values.
