NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 2)

It’s only OK for Republican MEN to get divorced. She forgot to read the fine print.

Did Unca Mitch finally locate his gonads? Note that FAUXNews is reporting this. :open_mouth:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., took sharp shots at former President Donald Trump in a new interview, calling him “diminished” and deserving of blame for the Republican Party’s underwhelming showing in the midterms.

McConnell told NBC News that Trump’s candidates in the midterm elections contributed to the idea that the GOP is “sort of nasty and tended toward chaos.”

“In a rare and pointed criticism of the former president, who’s seeking a comeback in two years, McConnell said Trump’s power is on the wane and called on him to back off Senate primaries,” NBC News reported.

McConnell told the outlet, “Here’s what I think has changed: I think the former president’s political clout has diminished.”

Careful, Mitch-- don’t overstate or anything. Your head might explode.

Plus, he’s anxious to start building momentum around a new candidate. If it’s Ron DeSantis, every moment of 1 year and 11 months may not be enough.

At least, I hope it isn’t.

Ya,that was pretty understated, I agree.

“Sort of nasty”? How about “Revealed the nasty truth that the GOP is a bunch of scheming lying dickheads who put party above the country”?

May The Leopards Grow Fat.

Honestly, they were like that long before Trump ever came along. Mitch: “Hmm, we’ve got to blame someone!” Who woulda thought Trump would be the one getting thrown under the bus?

Well, before Trump, they were quietly nasty, with at least a little cover of deniability… Trump brought the nasty out in the open, where it’s now obvious to even the most dim that they thrive on fear and hate.

Greg Abbott dropped off three busloads of immigrants in front of the Vice President’s house in the middle of the night, in temperatures in the teens, on Christmas Eve.

If I was a taxpayer in Texas, I would be furious that my tax money is being wasted on stupid shit like this.

If I was someone in charge in DC, I would take all these migrants out shopping for food and clothes, put them up in a nice hotel, and send Abbott the bill

Someone needs to feature all these events, especially this one on literal Christmas Eve, in a series of “More Christian Than thou Art” TV spots.

We’ve got to start striking effectively at their fundamental belief that they are the moral ones, but in terms they can still understand.

Were any of them pregnant; and is there no room in Texas?

I’d rather they not be dumped in the middle of the desert. I’m surprised it hasn’t occurred to Y’All Qaeda.

That really seems like kidnapping, since deceit was almost certainly necessary to get the migrants to board the bus. And crossing state lines should mean the FBI can get involved.

“Tonight, on Christmas Eve, Gov Abbott’s buses dropped off migrants at the VP’s house in the freezing cold,”

It’s freezing cold, so lets get these people further North? That makes sense.
Maybe they should fix their grid so they’d have the ability to keep [checks article] about a hundred people warm.

Those weren’t people, silly! They were valuable political tokens he was putting away for a rainy day!

They won’t even keep their own citizens warm.

I think it is human trafficking, and I would arrest the bus drivers and charge them. At least it would be a deterrent.

There’s been another attack on electric substations - this time just outside Tacoma, leaving 14,000 without power on Christmas morning.

Sadly, the actual taxpayers in Texas seem to appreciate this vile behavior. They likely blame the evil libs for making their governor do this.

The blurb saus 7000, you mention 14000, but whatever it is, you know how the cops charge people with as many counts of a crime as people that were affected by the crime? I think whoever did that should be charged, and pay the penalty for, 7 or 14 thousand counts of the applicable charge.
