The guy who claims to have discovered Hunter Biden’s laptop (which still has not been produced) is apparently now an expert on foreign affairs. He was on Fox talking about how he would hate to think that the Russian invasion of Ukraine is a distraction organized by Biden. A distraction for what, wasn’t made clear.
Trump’s support for Putin during the invasion of Ukraine?
For each of these, there was an initial, instinctive revulsion by nearly everyone on both sides of the spectrum, but for each of the first four the (Russian-backed) right wing propaganda machine inexorably gave its followers a reason to come around to Trump’s POV. Each time, those of us on the left thought, no, can’t happen this time … and yet, it did.
Is it really happening again? Will an April poll find that 85% of Republicans believe the war in Ukraine is not that big a deal, or some story cooked up by the lamestream media to make Biden look good, or that Russia is actually in the right?
Texas National Guard members are claiming that as part of Abbott’s callup of the Guard to “protect” the border, they were assigned to stand guard outside private ranches up to 80 miles from the border, where they were not authorized to do anything if immigrants should happen to show up.
Senator Roger Marshall gave members of the trucker convoy a private tour of the Capitol, even though it isn’t officially open to the public. Senators are allowed to give very small private tours, and Marshall claimed that he was complying with that. This as one of the organizers said “We’re not going to go in and throat-punch them just yet, even though I know we would all love to do that.”
Both highly rational conclusions, given the premise.
And both therefore preclude either one of you from becoming members of the Republican Party.
These guys are heartbroken that their natural tendency to praise Putin is meeting with blowback in the past few weeks.
So Peter Schiff found what he thinks might be a solution to that problem: he will point something out that will completely reverse US public opinion about Zelenskyy! Making it safe to point out the contrast of Zelenskyy’s choices with Putin’s—and therefore letting right-wingers return to giving Putin the tributes and devotion that they find so satisfying!
Well, he says he’ll renounce his Turkish citizenship if elected. However, Republicans are known to be liars, so one can assume that he will not, and will still have allegiance to Erdogan.
Someone please introduce her to fellow-Republican, US Congresswoman, and Kyiv National Economic University alumna Victoria Spartz (née Kulheyko) of Indiana.
Her take on it: “This is a genocide of the Ukrainian people by a crazy man.”
Matt Shea, the former WA state legislator and terrorist who you may remember for his manifesto calling for the execution of all non-Christian males, has traveled to Poland and “obtained” 62 Ukrainian children for what I’m sure is a completely innocuous purpose.
