NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

I found it interesting that it was about 50-50 between “Red hair and sunburns!” and “Small dick!”

That’s what I was expecting, but didn’t find in a quick look. I found articles about a gene that leads to a tendency for alcoholism.

Try Urban Dictionary.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Or a throw away scene from Good Will Hunting.

Perhaps the most useless site on the internet. Every word or phrase has a meaning that some chucklehead just pulled out of their ass.

I hadn’t thought about that. Assuming the pictures didn’t come from somewhere public (ie ‘the internet’), I wonder if she could be charged with revenge porn?

Didn’t she recently call for decorum on the House floor during the debt ceiling shenanigans?

Self-awareness, this one has not

Yes, I believe that was before she called bobert a “little bitch” and her Hunter Biden photo flashing. I wonder if she’s envious of Hunter’s stuff?

“Gentleman” – please, can we stop using this word generically for males, especially pieces of crap? “The gentleman who beat five people to death is now in custody.” The word used to mean something beyond mere gender, denoting a certain level of refinement.

Yeh, yeh, I know it’s a hopeless ask. But what’s wrong with just “man” or “guy”?

She could be charged in D.C. for revenge porn.

However the Speech and Debate part of the US Constitution rears its head.
“They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place. Doe v.”

Does waving around porn of your political opponents’ family members count as “speech and debate”? That sounds like the sort of question a court should rule on at her trial. Which would mean that she (or her lawyers) would have the task of arguing that it is.

And is that the only place she did it or did she show it (or email it) to other people outside of that setting?

It would appear this is already being discussed all over the internet.
“speech and debate clause” “revenge porn”

and quite a bit on reddit as well.

Without even having looked at those results yet. I have to wonder if her phone and any other electronic devices will be subpoenaed so prosecutors can determine if any of that content was distributed while she was off the clock.

Uh-oh

In a later tweet, Fritschner added: “I double checked and there isn’t an age screen on her eNewsletter subscription page. So a distinct possibility that Marjorie Taylor Greene just emailed links to video containing nude images of Hunter Biden to minors using taxpayer-funded resources.”

While they also say “There is no evidence at this time that Greene’s email has been seen by minors and any suggestion that the email may have broken the law is speculation”.
It might be speculation, but it’s a start. I’m bet someone on her end is googling each and every email address/name on that list to see if any of them are under 18. Hopefully someone on ‘our’ end is doing the same.

Perhaps this will also come into play

“Yes, it’s true that the statute has an exception to its applicability for a matter of public concern or public interest, but you need to ask yourself: why is this a matter of your interest?” Lieb said. “It’s certainly not part of my interest.”

MJT said “the evidence that I believe the American people deserve to see because when the American people can see this evidence”

What does she say this is evidence of, exactly? ISTM, you can’t have evidence for something unless you’re trying to prove something…what’s she trying to prove?

He supposedly paid for a woman to fly to DC? For sex. Violating the Mann act; These pictures she was waving around are supposed to have been evidence of that violation. IMHO, she waved them around for the same reason she does everything: attention and controversy. Those are really the only things the House wackos care about. Policy? Legislating? Yawn. “Let’s go show nudie pics of people we don’t like and set the capitol building on fire!!! Yay!!” Twitter, facebook likes, mugs on FOX.

How very ladylike.

If those sorts of gender-loaded terms are frowned upon these days, they should all be frowned upon.

I don’t think he was complaining about the “men” part; it was the “gentle” part.

You’re probably right, but so what? It’s still tied to gender, and I don’t like double standards.

OK, so let’s stop using “lady” for uncouth women, as well. I have no objection to using some other term for the likes of Greene and Boebert.
