If I were extrapolating, I’d guess that he warned her to stay away from anything like this (client has to listen), she probably argued or otherwise disagreed with him throughout the process (client has to be on board) and hasn’t paid her legal fees (have to be paid).
I wonder if she treated him like a ‘fixer’ when he was just a defense lawyer and not in the business of actively cleaning up messes as they happened. Maybe she thought she was hiring a different Cohen.
