NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

“Anything that’s going to protect American history is on the table,” said Martin.

Except, of course, slavery.

No, you just have to

address it properly.

Pretty sure re-instituting slavery would also be on the table for these knuckledraggers

The funny thing is that he, and so many others, are currently becoming the exact same history that they don’t want people to learn about. I get that they don’t want anyone to learn about it specifically so they can do it but I’ll be amused when Florida history books are telling kids about that time Trump and Desantis (and Cruz and Abbott) were trying to out-evil each other.

How else do you expect fill all the lower end shit jobs that documented and undocumented immigrants are doing now…that will need to be addressed once they deport the immigrants and finish the “Zonengrenze mit Schutzstreifen” along the southern border.

That sounds backwards.

They do want laborers migrating up to fill those jobs at low wages. But they also want to act with impunity and without personal consequence, i.e. treat those workers like shit - disposable, replaceable, cheap.

If they were serious about migrant labor as an issue and not just about having the next best thing to slave labor, they’d also go after employers for hiring them in the first place.

It’s almost the Dream already - they have a large underclass they can simultaneously feel superiority over while publicly reviling and take advantage of their labor at reduced cost. And without the social stigma associated with owning people or having to take care of them in the least. Actually, they’ve made it a virtue to treat them as subhuman. It’s awe-inspiring in its turpitude.

That and they’re trying to roll back the labor laws and workers rights to the Robber Barron/ Gilded Age… only this time they are aware of the consequences and are trying to prevent the revival of progressive movement ahead of time. The shit stirring between the various elements of the workings classes (democrats, republicans, maga nuts, and far-left) is how this is being accomplished (dividing and turning the sides against each other).

Donald Trump’s 2024 Rivals Say He Should Get A Pass For Jan. 6 Attack

Jen Psaki comments:

Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) admits:

Most of what we do up here is bad anyway. Most of what we do up here hurts the American people, when we do stuff to the American people while promising to do things for the American people.

In a modicum of good news; Ohio Replicants are losing the abortion ballot measure and the last ditch effort to move the goal post. Hope this is a harbinger of the 2024 election mood.

ISTM Rep Good could / should immediately resign for the good of the people. That way he won’t be complicit in those horrible governmental acts he decries.

Yes, all Rs should promptly resign from all public offices nationwide and refuse to run again. It’s the best way to “starve the monster” of their precious talents.

Let’s get our propaganda machine to work pushing this idea. It just might have real legs and solve most of our problems.

Mo Brooks (remember him?) says Loser Donald asked him to “rescind” the election and wants to know why Jack Smith hasn’t called him yet.

This just in: Donald Trump committed too many crimes!

“I mean, sure, of course the American people want him charged with every crime he committed, but the DOJ only has 30,000 lawyers available…”

The Houston school district is shutting down its libraries and turning the space into “discipline centers”.

Beat the children every day. If you don’t know what they did wrong, they will.

[That’s sarcasm for the more literal members of our community.]

“School to prison pipeline? Absurd, there’s no such thing!”

Who is going to explain to Texas’ conservative Republicans that it isn’t that kind of “discipline center”?

Bad memories for some of us.
