NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

Googling her name suggests she’s pretty high up in the anti-abortion world (founder of this group, director of that one etc), so it’s possible that she wasn’t shy about who she was.
Also, the post implies she ‘talked’ a mom out of an abortion, not the she yelled at her across a picket line, so they may have had at least a bit of time to get to know each other. I could see that ending with her saying ‘here’s my card/number, call me if you need to talk more’.

OK I stand corrected. I simply could not believe that anyone could be that lacking in self reflection. But no matter how low you set the bar the right always finds a way under it.

Me too. I assumed it was too perfect to be real.

I swear I’m not cynical. I’m constantly surprised.

You ought to read:

Apparently a lot of providers have labeled it the “Me Exception”. Which is really what it’s about - “Me”, who has a good reason to get an abortion, as opposed to all those "You"s whose reasons really don’t measure up.

Ruining even their own humanitarian programs. Leopards eating their own noses to spite their faces.

When even Rick %#^$& Santorum denounces you for too much culture war you have problems.

I certainly knew about this phenomenon, but they usually don’t then advertise it on twitter.

The Republicans are even trying to make Hunter’s child who was born out of wedlock an issue of Biden’s character. I don’t see it happening, but it’s still dirty and desperate.

That kid doesn’t need a whole bunch of snooping reporters or Trumpies swarming her anyway.

A “swarm of trumpies” sorta needs one of those official group words*

“A traitor of trumpies” is close, but not quite right. Pluralizing it doesn’t make it better.

I propose “A twaddle of trumpies”.

Anyone else want to play?

* See:

A clump of Trumpies? A blart of Trumpies?

A mob of Trumpies. Or a moob if you can stand the visual.

If he acknowledged the child the Republicans would make it an issue of Biden’s character, I imagine the narrative would be that he’s disrespecting his legitimate grandchildren by recognizing her.

Didn’t Mrs.Clinton accidentally provide a term that was blasted then, but now looks perfectly appropriate, back in 2016?

Republican congressman Derrick Van Orden curses out a group of Senate pages for lounging around on the floor of the Capitol rotunda, accusing them of disrespecting the space.

Van Orden said that “Our Capitol is a symbol of the sacrifice our servicemen and women have made for this country and should never be treated like a frat house common room”.

Amazingly, the article fails to mention that Van Orden attended the insurrection that took place at the Capitol on January 6th 2021.

I read somewhere that Van Ordure (curse you spellcheck but I’m keeping it) had been partying and was pretty drunk when the incident occurred. Not an excuse, but if true it makes his pious outburst sound kinda hypocritical.

In terms of descriptive aptness, she totally did. But she wiffed on the alliteration part. And on the syllable count part.

Short punchy memorable adjective-noun terms are the Kings of modern (read as “4th grade equivalent”) political polemic. Cf. “Criminal Biden”, “Useless Jack Smith”, “weaponized DOJ”, etc. The Reactionary Wacko Traitor party is very, very good at this. We need to be equally punchy in return.

A shitstain of trumpies. Alliteration be damned.

Biden just did. Now we’ll see how the Pubbies react…

President Biden publicly acknowledged his seventh grandchild, a 4-year-old named Navy Joan Roberts, for the first time on Friday, capping a month of questions about why he had seemingly excluded the little girl from his tight family circle.

Roberts is the daughter of Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts, an Arkansas woman who filed a paternity lawsuit against her child’s father in 2019.

“Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward,” President Biden said in a statement to People magazine published on Friday evening.

“This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter,” Biden said in the statement. "

Sorry, Joe. Everything is a political matter, up to and including what brand of toilet paper y’all use.

Do As I Say, Not As I Do: the classic hit single from The GOPeatles.

B-Side: F&%$ You, I Got Mine.

Why is anyone surprised?

The “sh” and “tst” sounds are strong. And easy to pronounce with spittle-flying contempt. The whole thing is melodic.

I like it!!1! You definitely take the lead on my scorecard.

A Cacophony of Trumpettes.
