I think we’re seeing, in real-time, reality finally catching up to him. He’s spent so much of his life spinning lies, without any real consequences, that now, when he’s finally run up against something that won’t just accept his lies, he’s becoming unhinged.
I had hoped that the COVID crisis would be such a moment for him, the reality of a disease simply not acquiescing to his bullshit, but he was propped up by millions of followers who did believe his bullshit, and so, as bad as COVID was, it wasn’t bad enough to break through his reality filter.
But now, we’ve found what is bad enough. Him, personally, losing everything.
Meh. I get it. It would be good if this were like a fairy tale and the bad guy on some level understood his villainy. But this is the real world. We’re all the heroes of our own story, and some people are fundamentally incapable of understanding conventional morality.
That doesn’t absolve any responsibility. Our legal system doesn’t (thank Og!) require perpetrators possess any sort of moral compass, even ones that point the wrong way.
So, while it would be cathartic that we could see that moment when he is faced with the full understanding of his own terrible misdeeds and his part in them, that’s just not how the real world works. If it ends with ‘merely’ his personal downfall and a few years where we can arrest or perhaps reverse some of the damage, then fine. That’s more than most people through history have ever gotten.
It’s my opinion (man) that any version of “yeah, but” in response to Trump’s deliberate, intentional lying is a defense of the lying fuck. Even a small one, which that grown ass liar is not deserving of.
Donald hates it when somebody follows his cry “Fore!” with “Closure!”.
He reminds me of those morons who file bogus personal-injury lawsuits and then post to social media about their weekend performance in a marathon followed by a weight-lifting demonstration followed by a night of bedspring-breaking sex.
Come to think of it, the whole “bone spur” thing is an even closer analog to that.
Loser Donald, who says that presidents have full immunity from prosecution for life “even if they cross the line”, says that President Biden has crossed the line and should be prosecuted.
Even some of his cultists seem to have noticed this one.
“As do various highly respected legal scholars”
People, not people here, but people out in the world,
If you ever believe something that Trump says, that makes you a fucking moron.
As much as Loser Donald’s lawyers are complete scumbags who deserve whatever they get, you do have to feel a little sorry for them. They spend all this time grasping at strings trying to come up with legal arguments to justify their client’s behavior, spend time they’ll never get back litigating it, and then said client snorts a line of Adderall and goes on Fake Twitter and completely blows it up by giving in to his id and posting an all-caps rant that completely negates the work they’ve done.
Nah, the current crop/group is on to him. They know about the NRC piggybank. Don the Con would never sign a check or let go of cash so the billing passes through to the committee who get their cut and then pay up front. They just don’t let Donny boy fondle the money first.
Well, Fox glories in their own nasty, stinking ignorance once again. Congrats, Murdochs!
Of course hair doesn’t fall out immediately when chemotherapy begins. It takes weeks, and in some cases, months. Depends on the chemicals involved and on the person.
(I’m wondering what polling has convinced the Murdochs that their viewership craves attacks on the UK royals. Or is it personal?)
For that matter, my mother had to undergo chemo in 2018 for lymphoma and didn’t lose her hair at all. I guess I better break it to her that I know she was faking being too sick to eat or leave her apartment.
I bet it somehow ties into Loser Donald’s delusion that Princess Diana wanted to fuck him.
