Every time I see a “random person interview” I just think of all the other interviews they chose to not feature. Just keep that in mind.
I think they can believe stupid shit because ever since they’ve been kids, they were raised in an environment where they are not just told fairy tales once a week, but told that these fairy tales explain everything, obviating the need to think further. About anything.
Listening to the voice of authority is more than a good enough source for them. For all questions their method is to depend on someone else to tell them the answer; tell them what to do; and tell them what to believe. After all, God commands and we obey.
Ok, so they haven’t done anything dumb yet, but leopards don’t change their shorts. Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman are members of the Stupid Republican Hall of Fame, and now they’re running some kind of A.I. lobbying services.

Single issue voter (generally abortion). Palestine is becoming another one, mostly for young leftists, where the Democrats are trying with varying levels of commitment and very little success so can’t be voted for, leaving Trump who is pretty much actually pro-genocide but is apparently the right choice.
You must not have read the thing you linked. It is replete with stupid and liberally dusted with the vile.
Having an AI company with an exec that is entirely AI-manufactured is a totally normal thing to do.
As is knocking down office walls without a plan and drawings, a renovation permit, or even an occupancy permit for the office. I’m sure that will end well.
Heritage Foundation President, in the 1700’s, the United States wasn’t divided by class.
Well, except for the slaves.
and women
and Native Americans
and non-landowning men
If you exclude all of those irrelevant groups, and just look at the rich landowning white men, it was an egalitarian paradise!
Really what I think he means is that people knew their place. The aristocratic types were apparently really good at keeping the tradesmen and blackguard types under control, nothing keeps a slave in check like a good beating, and the NAs, well, they were good for being killed. The overt discord between the castes did not start to boil up until the early to mid 19th century, when those slaves and abolitionists started getting feisty (probably because England had outlawed slavery) and some assholes started giving the NAs guns to fight back with.
I remember one older white woman who grew up in the late '40s and '50s tell me there wasn’t any of this racial animosity and tensions in her racially mixed hometown. “We never had any race problems when I was growing up. Everyone just got along!”
Maybe substitute “I” for “We”, because as a white girl, I’m sure she didn’t face much racial discrimination.
Sure, but is that less or more dumb than holding a press conference to announce that someone you’ve paid will suggest SA charges against a famous politician with no proof while you have your fly down? I would have categorized the A.I. boss stuff as sleazy rather than dumb, but I get that it’s a fine line.
100% hallucination AI guaranteed.
It seems their business model is to offer some large companies like Toyota 3 months free use of their “AI system” which they inevitably find doesn’t work, but which allows Burkman and Wohl to advertise that Toyota is using their system to lure in other clients.
It’s a pyramid scheme of the kind only Wohl and Burkman could come up with: offer a few clients free trials which will enable them to offer other clients free trials which will enable them to offer even more clients free trials.
How do they make money! Volume!
Then they can go to the banks with this massive client list full of Fortune 500 companies. I’m sure Deutsche Bank has some clients who need their money laundered money they’re willing to loan.
Yes, it is actually the exact opposite of what he said. The reason the US revolution was more “successful” than most others is precisely because we were still divided by class. Unlike other revolutions, (e.g. the French and Russian revolutions) we didn’t overthrow the entire power structure, we just kicked out the people at the very very top, but kept the majority of the structure more or less intact.
I think this explains very accurately a lot of what we’re seeing these days.
Deference to authority, and belief in stories that are basically fairy tales. Pounded into them from the age of 2.
Combine that with the sports metaphor of always cheering for your “Team”, and the fear of breaking away from the comfort of the crowd.
Given this, you could get these folks to commit all manners of atrocities.
(Snicker)
“Am I hearing a little twang in your voice?”
Oh, my. Take that, Peter Doochey!
The question is whether it’s just the standard scam (“We have this thing with ‘AI’! Give us money!”) or if there’s more to it.
Jesse “if toxic masculinity were a person” Watters says that Tim Walz isn’t a Real Man™ because (checks notes) he drinks his milkshake with a straw.
People are saying Jesse Watters drinks his milkshake with his dick because Jesse is too weird to attract a pretty sofa or cute reclining chair.
