NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

At least this time there is a plausible rational related to the officer in question rather than an all purpose hissyfit about abortion access.

I can understand antipathy towards these arseholes, but they, too, were human.

Also they were believers in a particularly stupid ideology. I do not condone their behaviour, but I do count them amongst the victims.

I just happened to discover right now the first ever good thing I can say about Trump’s time as president, which is decidedly ironic considering the memes being propagated by the right;

Trump signed the federal law that made it illegal to produce or sell cat or dog meat.

If he had his wits about him, he might have actually brought that up in his recent tirades.

What do you have against furries?

If I said you had a furry body, would you hold it against me?

Imagine there’s no more weiner
It’s easy if you try

JD’s hot take:Taylor is not an influencer.

Who doesn’t think Taylor’s an influencer?

Huh. Last month Donnie enthusiastically accepted Taylor’s endorsement. Except it was fake, of course.

Okay then. Real Taylor is not an influencer, but Fake Taylor is.

That old wino Jeanine Pirro sure has a difference of opinion about Hollywood endorsements when it’s Taylor vs The Rock.

These people are too much for me. I want them to move to Mars with Leon.

No suspect(s) as yet but, considering who has been pushing Haitians into the public consciousness…

Though it is not yet known if they are connected, the threat comes after baseless rumors spread online in the wake of viral social media posts claiming Haitian migrants were abducting people’s pets in Springfield order to eat them. The rumors were amplified by right-wing politicians, including former President Donald Trump and his running mate Sen. JD Vance.

Mr. “Trump 2024” gets testy in Las Vegas. Apparently chanting that does not get one a non-stop flight from Vegas to South Carolina. But it does get you a felony charge when combined with threats to blow up the airport. Who knew?

"Jared Peeler of South Carolina approached the Alaska Airlines counter seeking a direct flight home and became angry when he learned there was no such service, according to police. At a cursory glance, Spirit Airlines is the only carrier that flies non-stop between Sin City and South Carolina. …

"An Alaska Airlines supervisor then asked Peeler to leave, which he refused and later began cursing at multiple people.

He then reportedly continued making threats, saying things like, “If I was a terrorist, I’d blow up this place,” “Come back and shoot this s***” and “Trump 2024" leading employees to call out for police assistance.

During an interview with detectives, Peeler stated that he was in town to make a sports bet and was trying to buy a ticket to South Carolina at the Delta counter but was refused service due to not having a card. He added that “he comes from money and does not like to wait.”

It’s a big tent.

This all sounds very familiar

The people behind this bomb threat didn’t think things through. Sending the kids home from school just gives them more time to hunt down their neighbors pets.

Ah, but that gives the good law-abiding citizens of Springfield the opportunity to capture the cat-eating on their cell phones and push this story into the national conversation once and for all!

Good thing the constitution guarantees him a speedy trial, then, isn’t it?

Not to mention a swift sentencing.

Wow. WOW! JD just self-owned. Let me count the ways.

  1. As mentioned, Trump is a self-professed billionaire celebrity - right there he’s in hot water by drawing the obvious parallel, especially without citing her name to make clear which one he means. (Already noted by several others.)

  2. Trump is most certainly disconnected from the interests and problems of most Americans. He grew up rich. He celebrates being rich. He gold plated his penthouse in New York City. He owns a penthouse in New York City. By contrast, Swift grew up in a middle class family.

C. Taylor Swift is thought of as the voice of her generation. She literally makes a living expressing the hopes, dreams, troubles, and everyday experiences of most girls and many boys her age and younger. She may take inspiration writing about the events of her own life, but she writes in a generic way that allows most listeners to interpret the music to fit themselves. I mean, that is why she is a billionaire. TLDR summary: empathy. Swift has it, Trump doesn’t even know what it means.

  1. Swift is especially motivated to connect with her fans. She writes secret code to tell them things, she is very involved in listening to them, their cares, their needs. She demonstrates actively a personal attention to those “ordinary” Americans.

Q. Swift is such a popular influencer, Trump released AI images of her supposedly showing support for him. Vance may be bigger idiot than Trump.

ASTERISK Vance himself is an elitist graduate of Yale Law School, hardly the world of regular Americans.

:slightly_smiling_face: Vance is a weirdo who chides “childless cat ladies” and wants abortion bans. Like he understands women and girls and what they want.

I probably could come up with others.
