I think the conspiracy theory is that “it’s coming soon”. If the new “engineered” virus killed non-whites also, why that would just be proof how diabolical the Chinese are and how far they’ll willing to go to cover their tracks.

Is this a ‘thing’ with cults, or is the MAGA one special in that regard? Might be a debate for another thread, sorry.
I think it’s true of a lot of cults, and other more mainstream belief systems. For example, I’ve never understood why some people in the LGBTQ+ community fight so hard to become full members of churches that preach that their lives are entirely sinful. There’s just a major disconnect there.
Because sometimes some people want to fight to make things better.
And because people can be more than one thing.
Heck, even everyday folks nowadays use quick-typing apps. I’ve seen teenagers who could literally text faster than I can read, and I’m a fast reader.
The virus is diabolically cleverly engineered to kill idiots who don’t take basic precautions like mask-wearing and social distancing.
It’s possible to believe that the church is the only way to Heaven and be gay.
Yeah, see, that’s exactly the mindset I can’t understand.
I’m not Christian or gay, but if I were, I don’t think it would be difficult for me to reconcile it. If God is all-powerful and all-knowing, then He obviously made me the way I am for a reason, and since He loves me He couldn’t possibly have intended for me to go to hell, therefore it’s more likely that the church is wrong about this particular point.
Granted, my understanding would probably not be welcome in most mainstream Protestant churches, but there are established churches out there that are LGBT-friendly these days.

House Speaker Mike Johnson says conditions may be placed on federal aid to California amid catastrophic wildfires because of what he said are issues with local leadership.
While talking to reporters on Monday, the Louisiana Republican said that there should be “conditions" on proposed federal aid to California following the deadly fires still burning in the Los Angeles region.
“Obviously there’s been water resources management, forest management mistakes, all sorts of problems. And it does come down to leadership and it appears to us that state and local leaders were derelict in their duty in many respects,” Johnson told reporters at the Capitol. “So that’s something that has to be factored in. I think there should probably be conditions on that aid. That’s my personal view.”
