NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 3)

Agreed. I thought the ruffle about this was way over the top.

And that makes it even worse. Of all the Republicans out there, Trump is the worst for making it clear that, if you’re not for him, he’s against you. He reveled in picking winners and losers in the last round of primaries and elections, and doling out cash to some, but not others.

As I said in the other thread, it’s his party now. It consists of who he likes and it does what he wants. Not through some great organizational skill of the guy, but rather simply through the convergence of his monstrous ego and hate, and the personalization of RW politics in general.

Perhaps it’s the WAY he said it. “But remember, Republicans eat their young. They really do. Terrible statement, but it’s true.”

It’s like he really believes the cannibalism, not the idiom. He says it so flatly, so matter-of-factly, and doesn’t explain it.

That doesn’t explain the freak-out of the left like they never heard it before!

I’m 100% certain that when Trump thinks of young Republican up-and-comers, the only name that occurs to him is Donald Trump.

Anyway, here’s another helping of word salad.

And they didn’t even comment on “They said happy New Years

If indeed trump is having cognition problems, they could either be bio-medical problems, or drug consumption problems. Or maybe, just maybe, extreme lack-of-sleep problems.

IIRC he was quite the tee-totaller back in the day. But extraordinary stresses call for extraordinary stress-relievers.

I have no idea whether anyone better informed than I am has had the thought he’s developed a drug problem. Or been given one by whichever physician he’s listening to. Who’s almost certainly a wack-job himself to take on the job.

“The Afghanistan withdrawal was so boring. So boring and low ratings. If it would’ve happened while I was president, the ratings would’ve been through the roof.”

It sounds like he is struggling to keep fake teeth in. I mean beyond the moronic commentary he’s throwing out.

The reaction was/is over the top, but can someone tell me which “young” the republicans are eating? Is it that boebert chick?

“They said: ‘Sir, they’re not allowed to sell that anymore because of cruelty to animals’.”

It might depend on what you mean by “eating”,

And how much brain bleach you happen to have in the cupboard.

He’s like a really, really shitty stand up act. I really do wonder how many of his “fans” leave the rally feeling just a bit embarrassed for him.

“He used to do a really funny act, but now he’s just a rambling old man. Sad.”

I’ve never seen flypaper in my life. And I’m old. I only saw it in old cartoons and Little Rascals shows.

I’ve seen fly “strips.” Not fly “paper.”

Embarrassed? They’re worried! "Where’s the bus? They said there would be busses. "

“Where’s my wallet?”

Lengthy, repetitive Meidas yt video about Huckabeast and her odd lectern situation.

Summary

  • it was not the brand of lectern she claimed
  • they sell their product for $7500, not $19K+
  • the “company” receiving payment is basically friends she was seen partying with in Paris some while back
  • the state has a $20K trigger for expenditure oversight
  • attempts were made to cover up the transaction
  • she attempted to get state FoIA laws changed to make documentation inaccessible
  • bipartisan anger is flaring up over this

Huckabeast faces potentially serious consequences over this, involving felonious public document alterations. It does seem maybe somewhat likely that she might skate, but we can always hope for a proper outcome.

My most charitable interpretation would be that he was attempting to comment on the general infighting in the QOP (ousting of McCarthy, Scalise not being able to get to 217, etc), and “eating their young” was a phrase he heard somewhere/somewhen that more-or-less related to the idea (more less than more of course).

For politicians, it’s not the crime, it’s the cover-up that gets them.

ETA: Especially if the cover-up is also a crime.
