I think they assume that the number of arrests scales exactly with the number of attempts. If Biden is catching five times as many as Trump, that just means there’s five times as many sneaking in. It’s akin to Trump’s “Slow down the testing!” BS during COVID. If you don’t know about it, it’s not happening!
