Honestly, just a thread “Discussions of Heather Cox Richardson’s posts” would be good. I’ve been following her on Facebook for several years, and she often has some really good takes on what’s happening, and sometimes highlights key events that a lot of people miss due to the Tsunami Of Shit that Trump et al. are putting out.
She also makes a major point of tying current events into historical context. Very little of what’s happening now is actually new, it’s just the same recycled bullshit some people have been pushing all throughout history.
I’ll leave it to you to start such a thread.

I don’t Facebook, so not really useful for the loiks of me. In that regard, yours would be a different sort of thread from the one I just started.

Heather is a national treasure. First thing I read every morning are her letters. Incredibly insightful and informative.
She was a huge reason that I kept my sanity through the Trump presidency.
