I’m confused. Why is this far right congressman from a far right district full of far right people resigning? What is the “writing on the wall” in this case?

Or isn’t willing to be a member of the [fingers, toes & eyes crossed] GQP minority in the next Congress.
Or to be hereafter having to constantly guess what otherwise perfectly Republican or even just everyday normal statement or vote may provoke realistic threats of violence against self and family because he failed to predict how the psycho wing of the
cult would take it.
Or isn’t willing to be a member of the minority with a House Ethics Committee investigation hanging over his head that his buddies can’t quash.
As above, he’s very corrupt. He’s done this at every level of his career thus far, quitting his current job (as a local cop, as county Sheriff, and now as a member of Congress) whenever the axe is about to fall and failing up each time. Not sure he’s got anywhere to fail up this time but considering how much dirty money he’s likely made thus far, he may not need to.
On the plus side, the district is not a far right one - it’s been gerrymandered to dilute the portion of voters who did not elect his brother this last go around and went to Hillary Clinton back in 2016. Still an uphill climb but it provides an opening

Well, Trump issued an executive order that states that no human has any gender. The order defines “male” as the gender that produces sperm cells at conception, and “female” as the gender that produces egg cells at conception, but nobody produces any gametes at conception, so nobody is any gender.
