NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 4)

Finally, some new journalists that will ask the hard questions and demand real answers and not let the president get away with his typical word vomit. And Matt’s wearing a jacket that says “Representative”.

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) says women be shopping.

I would have failed her as well… because the Bible says no such thing! In fact, according to Jewish tradition (though I don’t personally know if the same tradition existed in the same way in Old Testament times) there are actually six genders. Details here if you scroll down a bit:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_and_Jewish_studies

IIRC, the six/eight genders thing is Talmudic and originates in the Gemara, so it’s post-Biblical philosophizing by the rabbinic sages of Babylon and may or may not be binding in Jewish law.

This does not apply to people who are LGBTQ+.
This doesn’t apply to people who lessen the fight by trying to empolden their own.
I say this, as an American who is, for now, still free.

Donald Trump? KISS MY ASS.

I hope that I typed that print is large enough that his skin-flapped eyeballs can see it without his reading glasses.

That’s one of my senators. Probably the biggest Trump toadie in the Senate, which is not something to be proud of. He’s up for re-election next year, but I’m not hopeful of a Democratic victory in ruby-red Kansas.

Pete Hegseth says don’t follow illegal orders from the commander in chief.

Follow illegal orders from me.

Was he still in the military in 2016 when he made that comment? Everything I’m reading says he retired in 2021 after he wasn’t allowed to be on duty at the Biden inauguration*, but they also say “Military service (2003–2006, 2010–2014, 2019–2021)”. It seems like whether or not he was on active duty when he said that would be relevant.

*He was considered an ‘insider threat’ due to his tattoos.

Oh, SNAP! Hope Hegsdeth gets investigated like Sen. Kelly for this seditious behavior. I’ve heard the death penalty could apply.

Faux was on a TV at the bar tonight. The sound was mercifully off.

But they reported some regime official calling for Hegseth to be fired for treason. For daring to deny the legitimacy of trump’s orders to murder innocents on the high seas.

Sigh.

A little less elegant than John Hancock but it fits times. :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh, and I concur. In order to keep tabs on Republican fund-raising efforts I’ve responded to their phony polls using the name Nunya Bizness and email address suckmydickdonny at my domain. Trump himself has thanked me for being one of his most generous donors even though I haven’t sent a dime.

STUPID, stupid, stupid!

Sounds Somali. You’re on the list, Nunya! Expect a knock by the jack booted thugs of the ICE-ICE, baby.

If it’s any consolation, though it’s unlikely to have much chance of success, articles of impeachment are being filed against Hegseth.

There is so much stupidity in that article from the administration. A depressing amount of it.

Yeah, at this point competent evil, while still evil, would be less embarrassing than the incompetent evil we are stuck with.

Maybe Laura Kelly can run against him. She’s term-limited as governor, and popular enough to get elected twice, although the GOP didn’t run their best against her.

She’s also 74 years old, and has stated that she’s not interested in running for any office again. There are still a large number of Kansans that hope that she’ll change her mind. I think she could win the election against Roger the Dodger.

And there you have it: a doggedly ignorant Republican electorate, led by the nose by Republican leaders eager to take advantage of suspicion and resentment of professional expertise, in order to gain political power.
