Not hardly. First of all, he was charged with murder, but it looks to me like a very justified shooting. Not a murder at all.
The father was looking for his 13 year old daughter and found her in a vehicle with a man who had previously raped her. The judge let the alleged child molester out on $5,000 bond and a no contact order. When the father tried to get her out, the alleged child molester fought hard to keep her. At some point in the scuffle, the father shot the child molester.
The prosecutor indicated that he thought the father should have just called 911 and let the child molester drive away with his daughter so he could rape/molest her some more.
The judge was doing everything she could to hamper the ability of the father to mount a defense. She imposed a ridiculously large gag order against everyone including the father to keep them from commenting on the case. That got struck down as unconstitutional by the Arkansas supreme court.
The judge then imposed limits on the number of people who could be in the courtroom – a maximum of 55 people. That included everyone. It was reportedly even limiting the defense team. The Arkansas supreme court removed her from the case and appointed another judge.
The trial was supposed to be in January, but it got postponed to bring on another judge. In the very unlikely event that he is convicted (I have more faith in juries to come to the right conclusion, I guess), he will not be able to serve as sheriff if elected.
By the way, he beat the current sheriff in the Republican primary in a Republican county. Supposedly, very few people there think that the shooting was anything but fully justified. Most people there probably would have done the same. I would be surprised if most Democrats in the county would have thought that he did wrong.

I’m torn between that being a simple autocorrect error or him not knowing what a RINO is beyond it being a insult to a republican that you don’t consider republican enough.
Also, why on earth would he think you can use a nickname on a ballot? Has he ever seen that in the past? Hell, I recall the republicans getting all worked up about Jill Biden wanting to be referred to as Dr Biden, and she wasn’t even on a ballot. IIRC they called it fraudulent because she’s a PhD not an MD. I’d bet a hundred bucks if she was an MD, they’d still have a problem with it, they’d just find a different reason.
It doesn’t seem like it requires all that much knowledge to know that if you want a nickname to appear on something official (like a ballot), you’re going to need to get your name legally changed to include said nickname. All he needed to do is change his middle name to “Shamwow Guy” and I assume he’d could then have it listed on the ballot as Vince Shamwow Guy Offer. Assuming he already changed his last name to Offer from Shlomi.
Even better, leave your name alone and just use “The Shamwow Guy” during the campaign. That nickname is very much associated with him already, so it wouldn’t have been difficult.
And lets not forget this is the guy that punched a prostitute that tried to bite his tongue off.
Talk to Jimmy Carter. I recall he was pushing to get listed on ballots as Jimmy, versus “James Earl”. He lost a case in Maine, not sure what happened in other states.

Your outrage at the situation and labeling the guy a murderer, as opposed to even using “alleged” because he has not had a trial yet, suggests that you think the man’s actions were not justifiable. Ergo, it implies that you would have acted differently.
