Yes in theory, in a sane country, it could be a good idea.
In 2025 America, it’s going to pretty clearly be Prager U. Indoctrination over education.

There is a difference between education and indoctrination.
You’ve obviously had too much of the former and not enough of the latter.

The usual term for this is a “flipped classroom”. It’s certainly not nuts, and it has its merits, but it has its drawbacks, too. Most notably, a good lecture isn’t just a video: It’s interactive. Also, it depends on all students having reliable Internet and devices capable of accessing it at home.
Of course, if Trump’s team attempted to implement it, it’d be a horrible mockery of a failure with none of the benefits and several times as many drawbacks.
The U.S. History curriculum would be INTERESTING???
Arkansas Republicans introduce bill to ban transgender haircuts.
Does the bill get into hair colors at all?
My hair like Jesus wore it
Hallelujah, I adore it
Hallelujah, Mary loved her son
Why do Republicans hate me?
Sen. Banks no-shows town hall, sends an intern with a box of donuts instead, then says the people who showed up to see him must be secret Democrats because they weren’t thrilled by his offer of cheap pastry.
I can only conclude that these motherfuckers are so convinced they’re going to be in power and on top forever that they no longer give a shit for the people who put them in office, and are somehow convinced they are forever immune from all consequences.
Yeah, some of them don’t remember 2018.
They also don’t remember that they actually have a responsibility to represent ALL of the people in their district/state, even Democrats.
Why would they want to represent the enemy?
Not that they don’t remember, but couldn’t that representation conceivably be considered giving aid and comfort to the “enemy”? That would be treasonous! By not representing Democrats, MAGA reps are actually being patriotic!
This doesn’t belong in this thread, but I’m not sure where to put it.
A door to door canvasser is talking to a homeowner. The canvasser is working for Supreme Court Candidate Brad Schimmel, heavily backed by Musk and endorsed by Trump. The homeowner is voting for liberal judge Susan Crawford.
It’s an oddly civil discussion where we find out the canvasser is just doing this to pay the rent and clearly has no idea who or what the two judges support.
“If we elect Brad Schimel, nobody will have the right to choose anymore,” said the Crawford supporter.
“For real?!” answered the Schimel vote-getter.
Again, this doesn’t really belong in this thread, I’m not calling the canvasser stupid, being uninformed about two “non-political” candidates isn’t all that surprising and, frankly, $25/hr is pretty good to knock on some doors.
There’s audio linked in the article. As I said, the discussion is very civil, it’s not confrontational or cringy or otherwise hard to listen to.
Unfortunately paywalled, but we can take your word for it.
Here is a press release but with no video, it cites the same article.
Taking a bit of a break from the Trump-Musk Circus…
Since covid someone in my area has taken to inscribing bills (usually ones, but sometimes fives and tens and once a twenty) with a bunch of things like “fuck biden fuck fauci fauci=menegele (sp)” and some incoherent things that were probably supposed to be words. All the same handwriting, by the way, mostly cursive. Anyhow, pretty sure I can guess this person’s leanings with reasonable accuracy. Oh, and this person also uses a pen to scribble what I assume is supposed to be a mask on the face of the dead president on the bill.
I’m thinking that this person is thinking that doing this represents free advertising for their cause, and that this little gems will circulate all around the neighborhood forever.
That’s not what happens.
Our bill counting machinery chucks them out as “not US money” because of the amount of ink on them, presumably obscuring sufficient identifying marks as to render them nonsensical to the machines. Also, both the cash office personnel (like me) and the store management have decided that even if these things wouldn’t screw up the bill counters we’re not keeping them because we do not think it would be appropriate to hand another customer money with the word “fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck” all over it. Including my one manager who, inexplicably (from my viewpoint) is still pro-Trump agreeing that it’s in appropriate for us to be handing out any of that to our customers.
So… today about $26 worth of bills going to the bank. Most likely the bank machinery will also kick them out and they’ll be destroyed as damaged money rather than being returned to circulation.
So… no, it’s not doing what this person thinks it is doing.
Objection! Assumes facts not in evidence.
What makes you think this person thinks?
She is probably thinking “I get to spend it, but the Lefty Commies won’t be able to!”.
