NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 4)

And what amuses me is that the current occupant of the White House is the least Christian person to hold the office.

And neither the historical Jesus nor the biblical one would recognize American exceptionalist fundamentalist fascist “christianity” as being related to their teachings.

So it all matches up.

Yes, for two hundred years Americans have been crying out for a ballroom attached to the White House and it took The Lord to make it happen.

Do these numbskulls hear themselves talk? Which Lord is he talking about?

MAGA has believed in the ballroom all of their lives. And it was always going to cost a billion dollars. (Firmly held beliefs as of 5-16-26.)

It’s hilarious how everyone else has to pretend to care about Trump’s obsessions (like acquiring Greenland or building the stupid ballroom) as much as he does, no matter how pointless or batshit insane they are.

Trump’s grand keynote at that event, BTW, turned out to be a 2-minute taped message where he was reading from a script, with multiple jump cuts, the back of his right hand strategically covered, and sounding like he was struggling to breathe while reciting quotes from a book he’s never read.

Brezhnev had more dignity than this.

You see, the mistake theologians have been making all these years was in assuming that Ezekiel’s vision was about the Temple being rebuilt in the age of the Messiah and the dead rising from their graves.

Turns out God was showing Ezekiel the ballroom, and the valley of dry bones are the people with tears in their eyes who will call Trump"Sir" while thanking Him for building it.

A real “We’ve got both kinds of music here” moment.

They just making clear who they think is an actual American, worthy of citizenship, and who will be on The List for deportation and/or other disposition next.

'Zactly.

Country and Western.

Former AZ sheriff and current House candidate has a history of sending women unsolicited dick pics and threatening to arrest them of they talked about it.

I try not to prejudge from appearances if I can help it, but this guy looks like someone who would do that.

Update on the A Mother Of A Revolution story from up thread, the one where the students walked out over the school board not letting the band play the song.

First, the board (IMO) doubled down, calling it ‘indoctrinating’.

The statement said, in part, "The district’s controversial issues policy is clear: use of controversial issues is permitted, but only if it does not “tend to indoctrinate or persuade students to a particular point of view.”

School board members called the piece “indoctrination” and said it could incite political violence.

“This is a perfect example of what everyone here ran on, which was ending indoctrination and radical curriculum,” Ouweneel said.

The band ended up playing a different song. I wouldn’t ask or expect them to do this, but I was hoping they’d refuse to play. Either sit there silently or not even take the stage. But, as one of the articles I read mentioned, these kids are scared, they suddenly have half the country watching them.

A local brewery, known for inserting itself into political issues, raised a bunch of money and is hosting a sold out band concert. The schools response…‘you can’t use your school instruments’.

When news spread that the Wind Symphony would perform the piece at the Minocqua Brewing Company’s Madison location, the board escalated further, banning students from using school-owned instruments for what it called “unsanctioned concerts.” Band directors and music stores from across the Midwest responded by offering to loan the students whatever they needed.

Then, yesterday, a local church hosted them and the composer of the song conducted the performance.

Thanks. It’s important to remember that there are lots of good, sane people all around.

They should have done this for an encore.

Apparently, the latest culture war fauxtrage du jour is “Hollywood is casting a black woman to play a cartoon character from 90 years ago who was based on a black jazz singer because they want to destroy the white race”.

Iowa Republicans created the Center for Intellectual Freedom to counter what they described as liberal indoctrination on college campuses. But not enough students signed up for offered classes so University of Iowa students could soon be required to take the classes or they won’t be able to graduate. No irony here.

Outright Orwellian - Center For Intellectual Freedom But No Graduating If You Don’t Sign Up. Shithead.
