NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 4)

He was trying to prove that he was a legal resident of Alabama during the years 2018-2020. But, if you follow a link in the story linked above by @Smapti, you will find that

The report specifically zeroed in on “the 2018, 2019 and 2020 Alabama Form 40 state income tax returns released by the campaign,” because “it was clear there was no redaction in the first line for Alabama Income Tax Withheld for any of those years.” And what they show is that Tuberville paid no state income tax in Alabama during those periods.

Whatever Tommy boy was trying to show, he didn’t do a very good job.

Man, that was satisfying. Apparently that was way back in 2018, though.

I hope the Streisand Effect really takes hold here.

It already is; it’s why we’re talking about it.

We here are not quite the Internet thought leaders we were back in the Teeming Millions days. More like teeming dozens now.

But every bit of “Turberville is a lying moron” that gets out there is to the good.

Mike Johnson says the complete absence of any evidence that Democrats rig elections is proof that Democrats rig elections.

If you repeat a baseless lie often enough it becomes the truth. - J. Goebbels

Schrodinger’s election rigging.

“President Tucker Carlson said today…”

Perhaps the present-day equivalent would be someone who became famous on YouTube or social media, although that suggests we can look forward to President MrBeast.

More like Logan Paul, who is also a criminal and a Trump supporter. And they’ve both stepped into a pro wrestling ring.

If Paul was ever president, that would really be fucking awful.

It’s like how the complete absence of any evidence that he’s a good Christian proves he is one.

Fame? I never saw it, and never talked about it. Nor did anyone I know talk about it. It was just more BS through and through.

That that stupid, made up show was even on is an embarrassment to, well, everyone.

He has moved on to show that he hasn’t the first clue about business or economics, and the USA is paying for it.

You may not have seen it or talked about it, but it was on (with Trump) for 14 years with millions of people watching each week. And even if you didn’t watch it, if you knew Trump was on it, his brand advertising worked. Now, you, I assume, would never have voted for him in the first place, so it’s moot, but a Republican that’s going to vote Republican, well, after 14 years of hearing his name or watching his show, may well be more likely to vote for him than someone they’ve never heard of (back in 2016) like Cruz or Rubio.

And yet, that shit made him over $400 million. It saved his ass at a time when he might have gone completely bust without that massive cash infusion.

All he had to do was memorize a few stock phrases to convince people he was a successful tycoon.

“Whose baby is that?”
“What’s your angle?”
“I’ll buy that.”

Plus, it dovetailed with a line of BS that the Republican Party has been spouting for decades:

“Government should be run like a business!”

So when Trump came down the gold elevator, acting the part of the successful businessman despite having not been anywhere near that for his entire career, the party was primed to gobble up his patter hook, line and sinker.

And he IS!!!
Like a Trump business. Running it right into the tank.

And Trump then proceeded to run the government like he ran his businesses.

There’s a 2006 episode of L&O:Criminal Intent where the soon-to-be murder victim is bragging he is going to be introduced to “The Donald”. We who did not live in NYC were still expected to know who he was (at least by public reputation),

Considering trump’s actual rep in NYC, I wonder why he was name dropped. Maybe the fact the character was murdered immediately after is the actual message.

Oh well, a different episode name dropped Randy Johnson, and far fewer people know who he is.
