NEW Stupid Republican Idea of the Day (Part 4)

Creep. Money-grubbing immoral skulking stinking thug.

its

Why you can’t reach the MAGAnauts. Which is more dangerous, Drag shows or guns?

We have now reached the point at which the owner of The Onion is having to publicly state that they are not responsible for certain events.

Like, for example, Tucker Carlson promoting the view that algebra is a Jewish plot. No, seriously.

If you watch the video in that post, I very much encourage you to watch it right to the end to get the full effect. Yes, that guy really says that.

That’s a very Conservative (big C) viewpoint. If I don’t understand something, the problem isn’t my ignorance, the problem is that the thing I don’t understand must be wrong and anyone behind it has some nefarious scheme in play. And since they’re grasping to fit everything into a narrow, twisted viewpoint, to comfort themselves in a world they are too stupid to understand, let’s just dump it into the box of antisemitism.

This is the same kind of thought process that led the Inquisition to arrest Galileo for questioning a geocentric view of the cosmos, and forced him to be imprisoned at home until his death (after making him recant his beliefs).

400 years later and some people haven’t learned a fucking thing.

Eh, Galileo’s house arrest was mostly about the fact that Galileo was an epic asshole.

And they never will. Stupid people are angry that
a) someone might expect them to put in effort to learn something, and
b) someone might despise them for declining to put in that effort.

It’s the appeal of MIGHT MAKES RIGHT–if you can hit the smart person hard enough, the smart person goes down and you are at the top of the status hierarchy.

This will never change so long as human brains don’t change.

Asimov’s famous 1980 quote:

… expresses the belligerence behind the mindset.

However, Pablo Picasso never got called an asshole.

Good song but highly inaccurate. Women in particular routinely described Picasso as such.

But girls could not resist his stare!

Remember goys kids, it’s the Democrats that are the anti-Semites.

David Maloney, a Republican state legislator in Pennsylvania, apparently lives his life by the principle “WWDTD”.

He has started a resolution to rename Lake Erie to Lake Pennsylvania.

Why does he hate America?

Yet another pubby not embarrassed whatsoever to mouth the racist mantra.

Short trip, then.

The same folks who tell Native Americans to go back to where they came from just might be racist? Color me shocked!

Another one for the “I can’t believe I live in this timeline” pile.

So someone thought it would be a good idea to put this picture of current resident of right-wing heads Hasan Piker up on the big screen at the Republican National Convention:

Piker is still processing this:

The intent appears to be part of a smear campaign against Piker but it seems to have backfired a bit.

I am also reminded of the stories about Grindr crashing whenever the RNC or CPAC are in town…

They’re all so deep in the closet they’ve already had a lecture from a Jesus allegory lion

Oddly enough…

I’ve actually heard the theory that it’s really leftist lunatics that are intentionally DDOSing and attacking Grindr when there are GOP conventions to make them look bad. And gay.

Yeah, insanity.

Yes, it’s the same Antifa folks who went undercover on January 6 to cause all the problems for the brave, patriotic Americans peacefully protesting the election steal.
