I’ve listened to that Scott Bessent clip and, IMHO, every media outlet covering the story completely missed the worst part…………which is that Bessent specifically says that these factory jobs won’t require a college education.
Now, he does say that the iPhone screwing ( the specific job that he’s excited about bringing back involves putting screws in iPhones) will be automated, but uneducated Americans will still be needed to fix the AC in the iPhone screwing factories.
So, none of you patriots need to worry about losing your children’s college fund to the Trump stock market, because you won’t be needing that!
We’ll bring back tons of menial jobs that don’t require education, and as a bonus your kids won’t learn any woke college stuff!
My next prediction is that the Pell grant program will be eliminated, because who needs college, college is bad because education makes people liberal!

I don’t know which thread these should go in, but 13 UW Students/alumni had their visas revoked for no apparent reason.
The TLDR version of this article, and probably plenty more in the near future, is:
The Trump administration revoked the student visas of 13 current or former University of Wisconsin-Madison students for reasons unclear
It looks like, nationwide, these 13 people were part of a group of 300 students that had their Visas cancelled.
According to an article in the News & Observer, a number of students at Duke University had their Visas cancelled simply because they were Sudanese. None of them had any sort of criminal records or had been involved in any protests.
Just what Americans have always wanted for their children–jobs on the assembly line!
