MSNBC Apologizes Over Matthew Dowd’s Charlie Kirk Commentary
"Matthew Dowd made comments that were inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable," said MSNBC's president.
Oh no! Our little Lauren, pushing atheist ideology!
I think it means that in the 2024 elections, all counties in Oklahoma voted for Trump. All counties in Massachusetts voted for Harris.
By the graphic, I assume it means that every county in the state voted unanimously Republican or Democrat in the 2024 presidential election.
This map seems to support that idea:
If you get more granular and look at the results by congressional voting district, though, you see that there is no state that voted unanimously Republican or Democrat in the 2024 presidential election:
Here is as good a place as any to pit CPAC Chairman Matt Schlapp’s disastrous NPR appearance.
Things started going a bit off when Schlapp struck out on the softest of soft ball questions.
With Slapp only being able to come up with the weak “he was entrepreneurial” on his third try.
But things really go off the rails when Martin asks the obvious question:
To which Schlapp can’t bring himself to admit that violent rhetoric is a problem on the Republican side too. Which causes him to totally lose it. Accusing her of being insufficiently appreciative of Kirk (despite her saying nothing but good things about him). And commenting that he sees why their getting defunded.
Leaving her to close with the sardonic remark.
I love NPR.
But wait, here’s more from the charming Ms. Loomer:
Laura Loomer has deleted her messages attacking Charlie Kirk, posted a few days before he was killed.
She has now reversed course and is calling for the heads of anyone who posts negatively about him, saying she will end their careers.
These people are total hypocrites. How about if she starts with herself?
Laura? Animal Farm was a cautionary tale, not a blueprint for political governance.
“All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”
~ Some guy that, clearly, didn’t have an understanding of history that informed his fears for the future
Laura? Have we always been at war with Eastasia?
“Yes. Yes we have.”
It would sure be fun if somehow deleting posts was technologically impossible. Maybe use a blockchain or something?
There’s no hypocrisy in the Nancy Mace posts.
“Easy mode makes the game harder”
I would pay money to any reporter that asked her that question in an interview.
Michel Martin is a national treasure.
This is FOX. This is straight out Murder. How this person is employed is beyond me. (Steve, Steve, Steve … he’s not a liberal so it’s okay).
But wait, there’s more:
He then went into a 15 minute tirade about how human scum the left is for not turning down their rhetoric and that the only way through this will be using the 2nd amendment to stop the lefts first amendment.
No mention of the Poles or the Romani?
Sounds like he’s running for office. Kilmeade/(Erika) Kirk 2028!
I bet Kilmeade will not be losing his job over this. Violent rhetoric is only protected under the First Amendment when someone from the right wing does it.
That’s assuming (presumably) that you think she would recognize the literary reference.
My money would be on her staring blankly at the interviewer, confused.
This is FOX. This is straight out Murder. How this person is employed is beyond me. (Steve, Steve, Steve … he’s not a liberal so it’s okay).
Given the timing there is quite the contrast with MSNBC’s firing of Matthew Dowd for saying
“He’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive, younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions.”
“And I think that’s the environment we’re in. You can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and not expect awful actions to take place. And that’s the unfortunate environment we are in.”
"Matthew Dowd made comments that were inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable," said MSNBC's president.
