No chance none of the other hosts even batted an eye while he called for mass murder of the poor.
I was noodling through BlueSky and tripped over a post which claimed that it wasn’t Kilmeade who made the comment, it was “an unidentified trans person.” So nothing to see here, move along.
Not enough .
You know, they are shapeshifters, changelings. You can’t trust your eyes. They lurk everywhere, plotting, scheming.
(As ridiculous and sarcastic as that was, I’m sure there are those on the right who believe that as readily as they believe in pizza parlor sex rings and school kitty litter boxes.)
Maybe they’re outing Kilmeade as a trans man.
No: it’s a trial balloon for a new reality show on Fox. Still in talks with RuPaul though.
On the other hand, some of us are Christians.
That’s perfect. She would rather shoot people I assume.
Minus the silencer, of course.
I love how these people who belong to outfits which have long condemned my own church as “not Christian” have exactly zero concept of Christian attributes.
Didn’t somebody say something sometime about praying in public vs private? Meh, probably no one of consequence…
A bill has been introduced by House Republicans that would allow the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, to essentially strip US citizens of their passports for using their First Amendment rights to free speech.
Mast’s new bill claims to target a narrow set of people. One section grants the secretary of state the power to revoke or refuse to issue passports for people who have been convicted—or merely charged—of material support for terrorism…
The other section sidesteps the legal process entirely. Rather, the secretary of state would be able to deny passports to people whom they determine “has knowingly aided, assisted, abetted, or otherwise provided material support to an organization the Secretary has designated as a foreign terrorist organization.”
Rubio has previously boasted of stripping the visas and green cards from several immigrants based purely on their peaceful expression of pro-Palestine views, describing them as “Hamas supporters.”
Couldn’t be anyone named Jesus. You already know where she wants those guys sent.
The thing is, the “not Christian” chorus aren’t limiting it to just the Mormons… they’ll say that about sects with only the smallest different from their own. Invariably, their definition of “Christian” is appalling narrow.
Thereby ensuring that there will always be a pool of people available for repression. Also, you wouldn’t want any dissenting Americans to go abroad where they might let the foreigners know that that Americans weren’t uniformly worshiping the MAGA cult, and you certainly don’t want to let anyone guilty of ThoughtCrime to escape the clutches of the US Justice system.
I am so doomed with my 20+ history of speaking my mind in this forum.
I feel the same way. I started a thread in IMHO about people I know that I’m concerned for. Now that I think about it, one of them should be me.
That’s a fair point. Is the idea of stripping them off their passports to prevent their travel, or is it to pave the way for deportation without chance of return?
Steal their very identity, so they become a non person. This prevents them from fighting too. Not that they really could.
I’m sure life in the work camps will be utterly delightful.
At least the company will be. For once, “all the best people” will be literally true.
Before I gave it up, I posted under my real name on twitter. I made no secret about how much I hate trump and his supporters. So maybe I should be worried, especially since I have a low tolerance for pain and without my regular medications, I’d be hurting pretty bad. But I am making a vow to myself and have been doing so for quite a long time, that I will be brave if the day ever comes when I have to be. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I’d rather be shot in the head than live in a Country siding with Russia.
Insert obligatory Emo Philips joke.
Michigan lawmakers are proposing a total ban on all online pornography in their state, including even animated or written porn. They’re also including any depictions of transgender people (be it sexual or not) under that proposal.
I imagine this doesn’t pass, though. While Republicans have the majority in the state house, Democrats have a one-seat majority in the senate, and a Democrat, Gretchen Whitmer, is governor.
It won’t pass, but this sets them up to rant about how “Democrats want disgusting transhomopedo porn to be live-streamed into classrooms! Why would they vote for this!?!?!”
