I go back and forth between they just want us in pain or they want to do away with all OTC meds so we have to get prescriptions for everything.

This is one of those cases where someone is making a technically accurate point in an incredibly stupid, pointless, and tone-deaf way.

So Epstein may not have had a “a sexual preference for clearly prepubescent children,” and may, technically, been a hebophile or ephebophile. But as noted above, pedophilia is the commonly accepted term for all child abuse, and anyone who doesn’t want to appear to be defending a child abuser, of any stripe, should know that.
Kelly is an idiot, and her career should be damaged by this stupid position. Although MAGATs have sometimes been willing to stand behind people seeming to defend the indefensible, child abuse is one of their triggers, and ISTM she’s unlikely to come away from this unscathed. Nor should she.

But ANYWAY the crimes are not “being a pedophile”. The crimes are trafficking or statutory rape or Mann Act violations or corruption/endangerment of minors or whathaveyou. The code defines the crimes by the actions and by the age of those affected, NOT by their developmental maturity.
This is such an attempt to distract and deflect. “Oh no, what we meant for you to ragehate was like, real PEDO pedophiles! You can keep wishing THEM dead!”

It’s going great for Megyn Kelly. Last year when Ryan Girdusky, founder of the 1776 Project PAC, joked with Mehdi Hasan on CNN that he “hoped his pager didn’t go off”, Kelly invited Girdusky on her show to laugh about it and criticized Hasan for “freaking out about a joke”.
Today, however…
Kelly herself responded “WTF Seth Dillon”, somehow not finding the joke quite as funny this time for some reason.
So we can add stochastic terrorism to the ever-growing list of things that are fine when RW traitors do them to other people, but not when it’s done to them. Even if it’s done to them by one of their own.
