I don’t even have Word (I use OpenOffice… and it’s not open that much). I haven’t been zapped since last week.
And zapped again, the first time since I morphed back into Siam Sam. But hey, screw it. Obviously this is not something that can probably be fixed in our lifetime, so I’ll grit my teeth and stop reporting the zaps. 
Okay, now it’s happened on my home computer, where I don’t even use Word. I’ve been updating Java and Adobe Flash. Changed pages in Firefox, tabbed to those updates, and when I tabbed back to Firefox I found that my last visited had changed from Yesterday at 06:00 PM to Today at 11:31 AM.
And just to say, I’m getting zapped more and more these days, although I’ve stopped reporting each individual time. I guess there’s just nothing to do for it.
Zapped but with a twist. The board is showing that I was last here at 8:20am (not the current time, which is usually how I’m zapped). The computer wasn’t on at 8:20.
Been zapped each of the three times I’ve checked the boards today. I go into ATMB, then hit the back button and go into GQ. Zap, everything marked read.
That’s an odd one, and it just happened to me too! It says my last time logged in was an hour ago. But I signed out about three hours ago and logged back in just now.
Haven’t read the whole thread and I don’t know if it’s been mentioned, but I’m personally suspicious of the multiple hyperactive threads with many thousands of posts. And I’m not just saying that as a convenient excuse to get rid of [GAME] threads. It used to be that the board would get wonky from threads with posts numbering in the hundreds.
Those are definitely not mission-critical threads and if it’s even *possible *that axing them would help matters for the mission-critical parts of the board, then what are we waiting for? [GAME] threads can resume when we get a handle on the problem, but should probably be hard-capped at 500 posts maximum.
Proposed: Delete all the [GAME] threads and put any new ones on hold for a while?

For the last hour I’ve been getting “408 Request Time-out” 2/3 of the time on this board, running Firefox on Windows 7.
Slow loading this morning (especially).
Just hit me on my work computer between MPSIMS & The Pit; went from Today at 1:36 PM to Today at 3:31 PM (obviously the board is still on DST) without my tabbing out of the browser.
I expand and contract, like a jack-in-the-box.
Two nights in a row - all marked as read as soon as I signed in. CLUE?: Board thinks it is 8:35 but it is actually 7:35 pm my time.
Sure makes the boards hard to read.

The “last visited” issue is getting quite bad again (as well as intermittent hangs, but I don’t find them quite as much a nuisance). It’s getting reset more and more frequently.
Twice in one morning.
Here’s a new problem that’s not happened to me before. It’s almost the opposite of my old problem. No matter how many times I go into the Board is sluggish today thread in this same forum, it stays marked as Unread. Only this one thread, no other.
