New Thread

Unwarranted assumption that poster is refering to myself. Outrage, vitriol, and spite leading to a five-page plus pit thread and several bannings.

Claim to have seen trainwreck in making two pages ago.

Reference to exceedingly lame flash cartoon originally posted on obscure japanese anime fanfic forum, consisting of ran-DOM WUUUUUURds spell-ed phon-ETIC-allllllllllllllyyyy to imply a tune, which is instantly recognisable to inhabitants of Osaka, and nowhere else.

Excessively long post about acquatic breeding of long haired newts, and the reproductive cycles of pigmy newts. Followed by unexciting refferences to said creature’s propper feeding and habitat. Some ranting about teenagers who don’t look after their newts propperly, and people who buy newts for their children at Christmas only to throw them away when they become to boring to keep in the house. Several links to cute pictures of newts, and a request for other newt owners to post their own favourite newt pictures.

Boot-licking praise of OP’s eloquence from a semi-newbie hoping against hope to avoid said OP’s wrath when said semi-newbie finally has the guts to challenge said OP on a topic more important than acronyms, flapper-era weaponry, or the worst Lichtensteiner.

Appology for posting the last message to the wrong thread.

predictable slam that poster would not post such a comment if he or she understood property rights, then a statement that poster obviously wants to regulate away everyone else’s liberty. Scathing insult regarding poster’s intelligence and the newt’s cognitive abilities.

Request for explanation of acronym.

Seizing upon Askia’s use of the word “disassemble” in post #62 to say: “Hey, did you hear that our esteemed president said he wasn’t disassembling, and that he then ‘explained’ that ‘disassemble’ means to lie? Geez, what a maroon!”

Links to several other threads in which that Bushism is mentioned as an example of Dubya’s ignorance of the English language, and – by extension – all facets of knowledge.

Reminders from British/Aussie/Kiwi/Canadian Dopers that use of phrase “our esteemed president” is typically Americentric apparent ignorance of the fact that the SDMB’s reach is global.

Self-congratulatory anecdote about saving a trapped marsupial from a crazed pack of feral dogs. Highly doubtful second-hand comments from “friends” or “neighbors” who corroborate heroic nature of event.

Some effort is made as to how this post relates to a previous post’s authenticity and which can be verified by referring to some periodical which (unfortunately) is out of print but which may be available from some suspicious-looking “book search” outfit that the poster learned of in some spam email.

Offers for assistance in getting in touch with spam author.

Irrelevant pointing out misuse of word in OP.

Post containing link to site only vaguely related to OP. Warning that link is to a 12 MB PDF, which may not be work-safe, launches many annoying pop-ups, and which may infect user’s computer with insidious malware.

Innapropriate use of “Wooooosssssshhhhh”

Complaint that the 12 MB PDF is not unsafe enough for work. Many references to the above poster obviously being unfamiliar with what constitutes unsafe for work due to the puritanical and prudish upbringing he must surely have received in Georgia (or Texas).

Obligatory link to that lovely goatse.cx fellow.

tight-lipped post suggesting that poster RTFFAQWTFBBQ

Post becomes immediate troll-fodder. Amusing reference to memorably banned poster with punnish name evoking a criminal sexual act.

Post from female doper stating the difficulties in having large breasts.

Comments that this sort of generic threads have been done before.

Reqest from male doper for cite

Once again…

Repeated request for CITE.
