Why are we talking about lynch mobs in movies when lynch mobs were a real thing that killed thousands of people?
I didn’t buy it the first time, and it doesn’t get any more convincing with repetition.

Guys, guys, he’s not talking about those lynch mobs from 100 years ago, you know, the ones that everyone learns about in school and commonly associated with the phrase. He’s talking about those older lynch mobs from 1870s Texas, dramatized for fiction, of course. That’s the relevant reference, folks.
I thought it was politically incorrect to notice all of these modern day lynch mobs. If they’re getting noticed on the evening news, as you say, and with apparently regularity, as you imply, then that doesn’t exactly sound like it’s the taboo topic you’re making it out to be.

Miz Elizabeth, please calm down. My screen name is in direct opposition to those on this website who think they know everything. In my life, I have learned that the more I learn, the more I realize how little I know. In this thread, I am trying to learn what make people act like “zombies”, or “brainless automatons”.
Were they indoctrinated from school age to scream RACISM at everything that they don’t know the answer to? Thank you for trying to provide an intelligent answer instead of chanting racism, racism, racism.
