I just sent off my Saudi visa application and barring them discovering The Terrible Truth, I shall be back in Saudi Arabia on the tenth of February. I feel a need to celebrate.
Maybe I ought to catch the train up to New York City for a couple of nights. Go to the Oyster Bar, and then … something , something, something.

go to the refreshed Pierpont Morgan library - 36th and Madison, I think - JP Morgan’s old mansion, now a museum for his AMAZING book collection - 3 Gutenberg Bibles, a bunch of Shakespeare Folios and more wonderful books than you could imagine…

Oh some book-store shopping, some drinking in a dark bar, the 7th Avenue Deli for lunch, maybe some strippers in the evening.
