Pretty deep. Sounds like Western Kansas could be a good place to be a philosopher. Or a physicist. Exploring the nature of matter and being, etc.
I would welcome you, but if you’re in Western Kansas, then based on the above statement I’m not sure you are, and I wouldn’t want to welcome no one.

I’d never heard of it, so Googled the Doper Map. Am I really the only Memphis Doper (willing to admit where he/she lives, anyway)? Wow, that’s really cool! And depressing!
By the way, on that site there’s a link for the latest thread for the map itself (people posted their info there: city/state). But that thread has been closed. I’m not sure if Demo is working on the map right now.
Welcome aboard steve_summs. I been to Colby a few times. Not a bad town. Matter of fact I saw my first George Carlin HBO special when I was there. Been hooked on him ever since.
