This would put it between the two Avengers films. Given the next film after it is Secret Wars it would be funny if he has the black suit in this one with no explanation or acknowledgement of the change.
Frankly, after the last movie I’m pretty indifferent to further sequels, and disinclined to put more money in Amy Pascal’s pocket.

I mean, if the MCU version of Secret Wars is anything like the crossover event Secret Wars I, then that’s when he should get his black suit.
In the comics Spider-Man just had the suit with no explanation and then they filled in how and why he got it when Secret Wars actually came out which is what I was eluding to.
