I can’t stay up that late.
I’d also expect any effect from dedicated fans to be minimized, for any game as big as the Superbowl. Surely lots more people than usual are betting on this game, and it’s getting everyone’s attention, so dispassionate betters would be quick to jump on any opportunity.
While I’d be happy if thr Chiefs win, I just want no injuries and no bad calls by the refs.
That will not happen.
Anybody else having trouble with the FOX audio? I’ve got the sound turned up to about twice what it usually is, and can still barely hear it. Other channels seem normal.
No problem like that here. Watching on YouTube TV.
Pretty quick touchdown, right?
I’m mostly watching for the ads, but I can’t remember another game scoring that quickly. Less than 4 minutes in.
Edit: and now another almost 4 minutes later.
The Eagles were playing at a fast pace, for sure. The Chiefs seem to doing the same.
Ironically, the Seahawks also scored 12 seconds into the second half; returning the kickoff for a touchdown.
Oh my.
Huge penalty on 3rd and 1.
I love me some great play by the O line, and the Eagles donot disappoint.
That does not look good for Patrick
I am now checking the score on my phone. What happened to Patrick?
Looked like he got his ankle rolled up a bit when he was tackled while scrambling.
Tackled , wrapped up around the ankles, but not a bad tackle, but left limping and looking in a fair bit of pain
Horse shit call. That was clearly a catch (and a pretty amazing one).
A decade or so ago, that would have been ruled a catch. Changes to the rules mean that a receiver now needs to maintain possession of the ball after initially catching it, long enough to make a football move, or going to the ground.
The rule (source):
And, this note:
I think it was close, but by the rules as written, probably the right call to reverse it.
Yeah good call. I thought so initially and none of the replays made me think different.
Mahomes was looking much more comfortable on the sidelines , but a bit of an awkward run across the pitch at the half time break there .
