It’s always been 295, 95, 676 and 76 for me. Was in NYC two weeks ago! But the universe has been flipped. I wouldn’t believe you if you told me in June that the NFC East would be best division. ![]()
Ditto. I had friends ask me what I was smoking when I wondered if the {\color{blue}\mathbf{GIANTS}} could actually get over .500 this year.
Crazy, really crazy.
I am REALLY hoping there’s no 5-1 three-way-tie. We’ll see!
And what is with the Jets? They aren’t bad! And the Packers lose to them! I’m waiting for it to snow in Sherman Oaks, CA right now. Won’t be surprised.
Over/under on the game was 45.5.
Final score was 24-20.
Jets have a strong run game.
24-20 come-from-behind win for the Bills, in the last 2 minutes. Josh Allen jumped over Chiefs safety Justin Reid in an impressive play:

17 is hardly enough.
Dallas might have an advantage with Cooper Rush because it’s hard to play the new guy, who is really good.
Still… (chuckles)
It looks like the Cowboys QB controversy is over.
What happened?
Cooper Rush has thrown 2 interceptions in the first half.
Brady probably wishing he’d stayed retired. Got outplayed by Trubisky. That’s just sad, for anyone.
20-3 Eagles, halftime. Now over to baseball for the half.
Cowboys force a quick punt and then put together a 9 play drive for a touchdown. Still a ball game.
I think I’m rooting for the Cowboys for a three-way tie at 5-1.
I think I’ve mentioned this before, but on 4th down defenders should not be trying for an interception. Just saw a play from near the end of the Seahawks/Cardinals game. Arizona had 4th-and-11 near midfield. They threw about 30 yards downfield, one of the Seahawks intercepted the ball and was quickly tackled. If he’d just batted the ball to the ground they’d be 30 yards to the better.
I feel like I’m the only one who notices this.

You’re not alone. I have screamed at defenders who pick off a deep 4th down pass.
Pads their individual stats, however.
I feel like I’m the only one who notices this.
Every Chargers fan knows about this too, believe me.
I’m not going to predict that Indy will win - they’ve burned me too many times this year already - but I will predict that they don’t get shut out by Jacksonville (!!!) again.
Looks like I was right. And we even got the win.
Six and 0! Six and 0!

It depends. It’s a gamble sure but not always bad. After all, pick-sixes occur. This is like saying you should never return a kick-off because you usually don’t get the ball past the 20 yard line. True, but sometimes you do, sometimes you even get far enough to score.
It’s not automatically a bad thing. Now, if a guy catches the interception and doesn’t even run with it, but instead celebrates, or falls down, or whatever, then yes that was poorly done.
I’ll note that in the specific case you’re talking about, that should have been batted down yes. But we’re talking about a rookie who has the instinct to go for the ball every time (his 4th game in a row with an interception) and he’s on a team where they’ve been preaching about takeaways being one of the most critical parts of the game for more than a decade (“it’s all about the ball”). That means do all you can to get it if you’re on defense, do all you can to protect it if you’re on offense.
It was a long throw on 4th down and Woolen did not even try to advance with the ball, he just celebrated when he snatched it. So yes, strategically it was the wrong move. Again, he’s a rookie, he might make a smarter decision when he’s more experienced.
Though I’ll also say a couple other things about that situation. It was a game where Seattle had a sizeable lead late (less than 4 minutes to go) and they were playing in front of a home crowd. Arizona hadn’t done much offensively since their opening drive (and the offense only scored a single field goal all game). The Cards had one time out left. From an entertainment standpoint, I might cynically say that giving fans the interception might have been worth it over getting the much better position.
