Jerry Jones and Robert Kraft apparently got into a shouting match at the owners meeting over a new contract for Goodell. Jones did not like the language regarding bonuses.

“He believes in corporate good governance and wants accountability on the financial goals tied to Roger’s bonus,” a source told ESPN. “He is sensitive to awarding a big bonus to Roger before he performs and earns it.”

You mean like how every single player signing bonus works? Are you not paying them for things they’ve not yet done and may never?!

Kinda crazy considering Goodell has basically been the perfect commissioner from the owner’s perspective. The NFL is making money hand over fist and Goodell has been a lightning rod for any hate.

Yeah, what’s the short version? “Let’s go, Commies!” doesn’t work in the U.S.

But yeah, I’ve long been a proponent of the idea of changing the name of the Redskins.
