Currently I’m watching the Giants on Fox. They are home. I can switch over and watch the Steelers on CBS. In the past that wasn’t the case. There was never a choice to watch a different game than the local team. That’s no longer the case.
And the Pats miss a 35 yard FG that would have tied the game with seconds left. Ooof.
DeVito-mania!
Screwing up their chances to get Bo Nix.
Steelers - the NFL version of Big10 Iowa. But they did have 400+ yards of offense; to get 16 points. Wins is wins Yogi always said.
I would rather have Billy Zabke.
Frank Zappa is looking good at this point.
I realized today that Jake Browning is the starter for the Bengals with Burrow out.
Gardner Minshew, of course, is the starter for the Colts.
Colts and Bengals are playing each other in a couple of weeks.
Who would you rather have as your QB1 right now. Mac Jones or Bryce Young?
A guy you definitely know is not the future of your franchise and with a well defined ceiling or a rookie who plays like a rookie (and with a team friendly rookie contract to see if you can develop him)?
At this point of the season, Bryce Young, no question
If the team was in the playoff hunt? Maybe different answer, but a team in the playoff hunt typically has far fewer questions at QB
Scorigami - 29-12 Denver over Cleveland.
Frustrating game to watch. If the Browns had even like, the 25th best QB level of play they’d be a superbowl contender.
Stefanski is bad at game management. So many times this year the Browns were running all over their opponents and he inexplicably heavily favored the pass even though the passing game has been pretty bad.
59 yd field goal for Philly to tie Buffalo inside last 30 seconds. Heck of a game.
My understanding is that the kicker’s career long is 60, and he made that game-saving kick in wind and rain. So impressive. He kicked it so that it barely hooked around the right upright.
Sad to see such a ticky tack roughing the passer call in overtime.
I caught the end of the Texans-Jaguars game. Texans down by 3 with 30 seconds left and no timeouts, get sacked and it’s 4th-and-12. They decide to kick.
They have a kicker, Matt Ammendola, who was watching games on his couch a few weeks ago and was hastily signed because the Texans’ regular kicker is on IR. Now, Matt’s longest career FG is 50 yards. And this is a 58 yard kick.
Matt lines up, kicks, it’s a beautiful one going right through the middle. And bonks the crossbar almost precisely in the center. No good, Texans lose.
If they were one yard closer it would have been in. I felt so bad for the poor guy.
Bills might be the best 6-6 team in history. They probably need to finish 10-7 to make the playoffs.
Their remaining schedule is @ Chiefs, vs Cowboys, @ Chargers, vs Patriots, @ Dolphins. I don’t think they can win 4 of those 5 games. Their coach, Sean McDermott, should be fearing for his job.
Their coach, Sean McDermott, should be fearing for his job.
They’re not lacking in talent on the field for sure.
Sadly, they made their bed. That’s the price they are now paying for having lost 3 perfectly-winnable games earlier against the Pats, Broncos and Jags.
E A G L E S EAGLES!!!
No, shouldn’t have won that game either. BUT…

Pretty wild year in the AFC:
- Bills are wildly inconsistent.
- Dolphins look good, but will they ever beat a good team?
- Steelers & Browns can’t buy a TD, but are both somehow 7-4
- Ravens have looked good, but somehow lost to both the Steelers and Browns (see above), and Indianapolis(???)
- AFC south is a quagmire of mediocrity (no surprise here)
- KC is 8-3 but Patrick Mahomes actually looks like a human QB this year (still great, however)
- Denver started the season looking absolutely awful, but have somehow bounced back to 6-5.
- And lastly you’ve got the Jets & Bengals who lost their star QB, who knows what could have been with them (though based on the terrible offensive line play, i suspect the Jets would be struggling even with Rodgers)
I disagree with #6. Mahomes still looks superhuman. He just can’t throw and catch the ball. You can’t have a tight end be your only reliable target and achieve greatness. Good teams will beat you without a good receiver corps.
To me the Eagles look like the clear favorites. They are the one team that I think is going to win every time if they are down by less than a touchdown and have the ball at the end of the game. They seem to have supreme confidence and the talent to back it up.
