FWIW, I compare A.J. Jenkins to Wes Welker.
Rats. I wanted Quick for the Bears, but I expected him to go in the 3rd round. This is too high for him, but I think he might be an excellent player. Hill’s gotta go no later than the Brownies now.
Luck get’s his security blanket. Probably a wise pick. Wonder if the Colts will add a RB in the 3rd round, Lamar Miller?
The only place I don’t mind seeing Fleener go besides to my team.
The PFT Mock is 2 for 3 so far, with the one exception getting the position right. The Rams pick again at 39, they could have gotten Quick there for sure, though I’m not sure who they might have wanted to take at 33.
Come on Hill.
Too bad they couldn’t trade up for Decastro, get Martin, and then Stepfan Taylor next year. They could simply be thr Indy Stanfords.
Now if only a decent CB not named Janoris (although I wouldn’t mind his risk as much n the second round, but he won’t be there anyway) will fall to the Lions, then I will truly believe that the cursed taint of Matt Millen is off forever.
Incidentally which reminds me, I remember a rumor that Millen was advising Holmgren… I wonder…
Jenkins + Finnegan…sheesh. Fisher just doesn’t give a shit at all.
I didn’t get to watch the draft last night; I was at the theeatur. But the trade that surprised me the most was Dallas. That one seemed like a big, Jerry Jones-ordered reach. And just on general impressions, I think the Tannehill pick is a very bad value.
I hadn’t seen the Silatolu tape before. That kid is destroying those guys out there, but it looks like the Little Sisters of the Poor lined up across from him, but he’s killing them! LOL.
That’s what you need to see out of a small school against lesser competition: absolute domination. Iupati had it, Silatolu has it.
Now that’s good value for the Bills. If Glenn can’t make it at left tackle, he can slide to the right or inside to guard.
Picks are coming in quick and no trades. Interesting.
Wow, pretty surprised that that the Dolphins passed on Hill and Randle. Martin didn’t look thrilled to be going to Miami and I don’t think he’s going to be very good in the NFL, probably needs to move to OG.
Here goes Stephen Hill…
Two Rounds, two busts.
Man, was starting to get excited Hill would slip to the Bears. Well, Hill will be used to playing on a team without a QB who can get him the ball at least.
Damn, another guy I’d have liked for the Bears. Getting a bad feeling about this. Will Massie or Randle make it back to the Bears?
…and the Bears just traded up. Guess we’re on the same page, I suspect the Hill and Quick picks scared them and they are targeting Randle here.
Right idea, wrong player. I go back and forth on Jeffery, but I’m going to start talking myself into him in 3, 2, 1…
If the Bears hope to get anything but a sub-par possession receiver out of Jeffrey, they’re gonna have to chain him to the weight room.
Bears players tend to never be lazy. For all the negative I say about Lovie, they always get 100% effort and everyone always in shape. For whatever reason players will fight for Lovie, so I’m less worried about that. I just hope he plays faster in the NFL than he did in college. That said, I fucking love the size we have at WR now…something I’ve been begging for for a decade. Maybe, just maybe, we’ll be effective in the red zone.
