Like the Barkley fit in NYC. Assuming he’s not a bust, he could give Eli 2-3 more years of mediocrity.
You forgot that he’s a twerp. I’ll give you 3.5 games.
He’s somewhat elusive at OU, and he doesn’t seem to be a complete idiot despite the PI and evading charge last year, so I think he’ll actually make it through the season without injury. Depending on who the Browns surround him with, and definitely losing Thomas is a kick in the teeth.
Drafting Allen here or Jackson would have been hilarity; I actually don’t think Mayfield will be that bad for them.
Dumb of the Giants to not try and trade back in order to get a QB here, along with some other 1 rd talent?
Well, if your speculation was correct, the Jets are kinda fucked now.
If his head is in the right place, Baker Mayfield could be an above average NFL QB. Should be interesting.
I didn’t know the Jets picked up Teddy Bridgewater in the off season. Is he not still considered a prospect? Did he never fully recover from his injury?
If he’s the next Manziel the Browns will fucking implode to a degree never before imagined. It’s a non-zero possibility.
That was supposed to be escapeability not capability, but auto corrected because it’s not a word, and I have a cold.
Pretty sure he’s not expected to be ready for week 1.
Haha Jets took another USC QB. Didn’t they learn from the last time?
He didn’t seem to have the off-the-field warning signs, or at least, as many of them, as Manziel. I haven’t heard, e.g, of any of Mayfield’s friends/posse/hangers-on being media personalities like that one cretinous friend of Manziel’s. Then again, draft news hasn’t been as overwhelming down in Houston this year like it was during Manziel’s draft. No billboards have been taken out, urging the Texans to draft anyone, unlike Manziel’s time.
Though I don’t want my team leader doing things like running from the cops a year prior to my team deciding to use the #1 pick on him. That said, Winston did some stupid stuff prior to the draft, and he seemed to turn out OK.
Hard to go through college unscathed it seems in the social media era.
EDIT: If Teddy B returns to near 100%, does he become trade bait for the Jets, given their picking up Darnold? I wanted him pretty badly for the Texans that draft, and I wonder if he’s still got any left in the tank?
I have a terrifying feeling that Nelson will come off the board at #7…just like every year with the Bears.
Not an awful choice by the Brownies at 4, though I probably would have agreed more with Chubb.

Seriously, what are the Browns doing?
Does somebody jump up to grab Chubb?
Do the Broncos roll with the semi-local boy in Allen?
Amazed that we made it through the top 4 with no trades.
The prospect interviews by Deion are so fucking stupid. I feel my brain leaking out as they spew their pre-packaged answers and Deion mugs. Ugh.
There goes every mock draft’s accuracy.
Broncs get the windfall.
Broncos probably get the steal of the draft so far to line up across from Von Miller…yikes.
First trade inbound? Bills maybe?
