NFL draft

Leinart is the pick, though. I agree.
These rookie coaches throw monkeywrenches into the works, don’t they?

If the Jets take Ferguson, does Leinart become Favre’s successor in Green Bay?

The Jets take the local boy, and the predictions of Leinart’s mini-slide have come true. Is he going to be a Raider?

Leinart to the Cards? Rams? I’ll guess the Rams.

Entirely possible brianjedi, but I gotta maintain the thought that Hawk is the smart pick here.

Yes. Ron Jaworski.

It’s AMAZING to me how full of themselves these people are. It’s always their position that wins the game, isn’t it?

Wel, there’s the Ferguson pick. If you believe he’s a franchise tackle, he is a good pick. My dad says Leinart should be number one because he’s a proven guy and has played in a big situation at USC already.

Dad is old.

That and I think SF is so desperate for another great QB that Leinart will be picked 5th or 6th regardless.

Where’s duffer? I bet his head is exploding with beer, bratwurst, and draft drama right now. That is, if his posts last night are any indication.

Yes.

My Grandmother and Tony Saragosa (misspelled I think)

Found something on ESPN. happy Osip

Rams haven’t taken a QB in the 1st since 1964. Wouldn’t hold my breath.

I can see the Pack taking Hawk, but you’ve got to think that Green Bay is looking at Leinart and wondering if he’s an upgrade for the future over Aaron Rodgers.

My biggest issue with the Ferguson pick there…the difference between Ferguson and Justice just isn’t that big and the Jets could almost certainly have landed McNeil or Winston with their 2nd round pick. Hell they could have traded up to get Justice if he slid far enough with those two picks.

Upon closer inspection I think they fucked up.

Siragusa. The man is a beast. I saw him fold over a giant slice of pizza on tv once and eat it in two bites. My buddy and I tried it and almost threw up. We call it “Goosing” a pizza, now.

You know, that’s a good point. I like that. However, Isn’t Justice supposed to have some personality issues?

Dude, I’m on my 3rd beer, the grill was setup earlier (the reason I got here so late today) and I have 8 different windows open.

I’ve already set up someone to cover my shift tomorrow. It’s going to be a long day. Personally, I love 15 mins between picks. I’m gonna have to make a beer run somwhere aroung pick 11 or 12.

Investing in another QB with the kind of money the 5th drafted player will get is kind of silly… If You do and Rodgers pulls a Bree, your San Diego all over again.

Hawk is to good a Defensive player to pass up.

You should remind him about Ken Dorsey.

Hahaha!

So this draft bbq that I am at just turned a little ugly. There are a Jets fans here and they do not like this pick. As the lone Giants fan I am enjoying my shish kebab and patiently awaiting the end of the first round where we fumble and make our dumbass pick.

The Jets just found themselves in the same situation and went with Ferguson. I say the Pack takes Hawk.

By the way, I’m not a Jets fan, but I’m glad they wound up with Ferguson. I had a letter printed at SportsIllustrated.com some months ago where I submitted about a dozen of the weirdest and most exotic names in college football, and D’Brickashaw Ferguson topped my list. So now I can expect to hear his name constantly for at least a couple of years.

Ha. The Packers take Hawk, which is the best thing for em.

Dorsey had a weak arm, though. He was obvoiusly not NFL material. Jason White would be a good comparison as well.

I don’t see the Raiders passing Leinart up. Even though they’re happy with Andrew Walter, Al Davis can’t pass up another lefty.

yesyesyesyesyes.

Our Defense just got even better than the 7th rank we had last year.

Life is good right now.
