If you do, us 'Skins fans will have to hire a guy named Luigi to pay you a short social call. (In the words of Al Yankovic, “Luigi, Luigi, capisce, paisan, capisce, paisan, capisce, paisan.”) And we really don’t want to do that.
Yes, it means you’d likely be forfeiting one game each week. But you are already, so what’s it matter? Just keep picking the 'Skins to lose, and you’ll have our undying gratitude.
Okay, 8-7 for the week, and after re-examining, 9-6 against the spread. I don’t think it’s supposed to work that way, getting a better record against the spread, but what can I say?
And to all you Ram aand Redskin fans - honest, I really have no control over the outcome of these games!!
(Oh, and apparently I owe an apology to Eddie Murray who did an admirable job of kicking last night.)
So NOW Falcon shows up to trash talk. Yeah, before the win, you have no faith in your team, not even willing to make a silly sig-line bet or anything. I, on the other hand, show my blind devotion to the Male Sheep by offering up a bet even before I knew Faulk was in the lineup.
So you see my point don’t you? By having so little faith in your team, you are overly excited by last night’s win, whereas I, with my blind devotion, am devastated. So that just goes to show - - well, I don’t know what it shows, but there has to be a lesson in there somewhere about standing by your team. Or not. I don’t know.
I blame Gazoo.

If you ask me, I think the kicker flat out booted it and then they made it look like they meant to do that.
They beat the Rams. In St. Louis. On Monday Night Football.
From what I read of the game, they dominated.
They won after having a bye week, which seems to be the curse of death this season so far.
You have to pick them to win this weekend.

Crunchy - No, I’m a realistic Washington fan. I went in EXPECTING to lose this one…hell, I don’t think the Redskins have scored above 30 points all fricking YEAR! And after my cosmic run of good luck on sig line bets, I didn’t want to jinx it. Or something. But trust me, I was screaming PLENTY for the Redskins last night. (And honestly, I was scared of what you’d come up with!)
Gazoo - do NOT listen to that long-haired wanna-be Swede. Pick the EAGLES. They’re first place in the NFC East! They only lost last time because of a blown call by the ref! They HAVE to win, right??? So pick the Eagles. Or I’ll come out there and beat you silly.
Montfort - Awwwww…c’mon. Scared they’ll LOSE again? (Okay, okay…I admit they got a few blown calls in the last game.)
Hmm… I seem to have a good streak running while I’m in Sweden: Eagles won, Flyers won, Sixers are still undefeated, Ravens won, Dallas lost (both in the same game!), so maybe I should take this bet.
But, I won’t be in Sweden when the game is played, I’ll be in the air flying home then. So… now that former Redskin coach Allen’s scion is a Senator, he probably called up G. Gordon Liddy to do another heist on the forces of all that is good: the Eagles.
