No website yet, OMNI , we’re hoping that next year we’ll have a site up to run fantasy leagues, offer fantasy advice, and offer betting advice. Problem is, there’s a lot of competition so we’ll probably have to offer the service free (or dang close) for the first year to get some interest and hopefully loyalty. Which means I’ll either have to win the lottery or keep my day job. Which, in turn, means I can’t put in as much time as would be needed…
Just got done with draft #6 (and last) of the fantasy season. Tough one, 7 player keeper league that I took over an existing team that wasn’t so good. Plus, it’s the only one with individual defensive players. Now it’s time to test my league management software for the 3 leagues I commish. We’re still a long way from going live, I’m afraid.
On to some picks:
SF at NYG People are caling this a SF blow-out. I don’t think so. I see a big game yardage wise for Collins and Toomer, not so much for Garcia and Owens. SF pulls it out in the end though, 16-13.
NYJ at BUF I like the Bills offense this year, and Abraham will be a little slowed by the knee injury, so I’ll go with BUF, 24-22.
BAL at CAR Rodney Peete? Rodney Peete!!?? BAL, 20-3.
MIN at CHI Minnesota can’t stop the run. Chicago will be happy to take advantage. A-Train all day. CHI, 24-17.
SD at CIN Tomlinson will get off to a nice start. Brees, not so much. Weren’t these teams each 3-0 when they faced off last year? I’ll go with SD, 20-17.
KC at CLE No Couch, but Kelly’s looked good in pre-season. CLE is a turnover causing machine and Trent Green doesn’t require much enticement to throw it to the other team. CLE wins in a an ugly game, 17-16.
ATL at GB Boys, you are about to see the best defense in the NFL. The Pack will be phenomenal on the defensive side of the ball, and very good to great on the offensive side. GB 31-13.
IND at JAX I really have no clue on this game. Questions marks abound. I’ll let the beagle pick it…JAX (he can’t pick a score).
DET at MIA Remember this name - Adewale Ogunleye - your 2002 sack leader. MIA, 24-6.
PHI at TEN Another toughie. I like getting points with a team like PHI, but TEN is tough at home, Vincent is hurt, and George looks good again. I’ll take the points and say TEN, 21-20.
AZ at WAS Steve Superior is an enigma. Was he playing with us in the pre-season and he’ll let Davis carry the rock in the regular season? I’ll pick based on what will be a tough 'skin defense…WAS, 20-13.
STL at DEN Do you realize that the last time the Rams were an underdog was in 1999? I have a strange feeling about the STL boys this year and I think DEN is a dangerous place for them to start the season. DEN 31-28.
SEA at OAK Okay, Hasselbeck had a QB rating of like 2.6 in one of the pre-season games. I can’t believe I’m sayig this, but this team needs Dilfer…OAK, 24-13
NO at TB I’m not convinced in McCallister, and I think he’ll struggle on grass against a still stout TB defense. Gruden’s offense fits perfectly to Brad Johnson’s game. (Look at what he did for Gannon)…TB, 27-17
DAL at HOU First game, new stadium, in-state rival…First loss. DAL, 24-6.
PIT at NE I don’t see NE geting two non-offensive TD’s this time. Randle-El is just exciting to watch. PIT, 20-13.
SURVIVOR: BAL
LOSER: NYG (Hey, I used them in our local loser pool…)
OMNI: DAL, MIA, GB, OAK, BAL
And, just 'cause I like the new smilie…:smack:
