NFL Week 10

Commanders’ Jayden Daniels has a dislocated elbow on his non throwing arm.

While in theory he could return by the end of the season, it would seem to me the sensible thing to allow him a full year to recover. But of course we are talking about the Washington Commanders….

The Browns (2 - 6) Jets (1 - 7) “contest” must take prize for the least consequential game so far this season.

Would be fun if the Jets win, because it shows they can’t even tank right, and I do love a good Browns loss (and i’m always up for another article about how frustrated Myles Garrett is)

As a recovering “Browns fan”, I’m surprised other QB lacking teams didn’t make a move to acquire massage enthusiast Deshaun Watson at the trading deadline :face_with_monocle::thinking:

With that contract?

Tonight’s game is on Prime.

I enjoy the fact that Prime provides an alternative feed of the game, where you get the camera that shows all 22 players on the field. It lets you try to read the defense, or see the flow of blocking and wide receiver routes.

Ultimately, I think I prefer the standard feed, but it’s an interesting change of pace for Thursday night.

This is a shocking and tragic story.

ETA: This was also posted in the Celebrity Death Pool thread.

Texas Department of Public Safety released a statement that troopers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver refused to stop and troopers lost contact. They later found the vehicle abandoned with Kneeland dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound nearby.

It’s been said that the Vontaze Burfict helmet-to-helmet hit that gave Brown a severe concussion in the 2015 AFC Wild Card Game forever changed the course of Brown’s life.

To some degree, perhaps, but that seems to elide much of his pre-2015 playoff behavior.

Perhaps it can be argued that the hit exacerbated existing issues but to claim he was radically different afterward ignores some the nonsense he pulled dating back to his college days. I appreciate that Dunlap was appreciative of the money, but that’s just an admission he’s not an unbiased observer.

Indeed. Even if it wasn’t that hit, Brown has been showing lots of signs of psychological issues for years now.

This Raiders-Broncos game is ridiculously bad. Bad runs, passes, punts, kicks, catches… If someone can screw up a play, they will. Just painful to watch. They should kick the teams off the field and give them both a loss.

It’s a good game if you enjoy punts. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I think there have been 12 so far, and the 4th quarter just started.

There were 15 total punts in that game, which ended in a 10-7 Broncos win.

Even the highlights were boring!

Everyone else at work is all in on the Bears this week. Like sell the house, sell the wife, sell the kids and put it all on the Bears. What am I missing?

Can’t think of anything definitive. If the Giants were forced to play Russell Wilson at QB, I could maybe see it but Dart is ok.

Then again, they’ve gotten hit with the injury bug. Everybody saw what happened to Skattebo and Malik Nabers is out for a while as well. And they’ve got some injuries along the OL. Combined with rookie QB, that might do it.

Bears are now 4.5 point favorites over the Giants.

That’s almost as many punts as the Colts have had all season (18).
