Last year, Haley had the class to pull Jamal Charles late in the game, even though Charles could have gotten the single game record for rushing yards against the Broncos. McDaniels was a prick (I know, I know, shock of shocks) to not return the favor, and I have no problem with Haley letting McDaniels know he didn’t like it.
Grown-ass men acting like butthurt five-year-olds on national television is bullshit. Shake hands like the adults you’re supposed to be, and then whine about it in your press conference.
You’d think that a coach losing badly would LIKE his opponent to call a lot of passing plays because it conserves the clock and gives you a chance to come back, versus having your loss cemented by a bunch of rushes, though I guess it’s the principle of it all.
Still, if it were me, I’d shake McDaniels’ hand while verbally tearing him a new one.
They pulled him with 2 minutes left, one Chiefs series. And Denver’s last three psosesions were run, run, run, punt, run, run, run pass (turnover on downs), run (game over).
So Haley needs to grow up and not act like such a whiny bitch.
He’s been named the starter for next week at least. I’m so done with Alex. I may have defended him in the past, but Troy is clearly better for this team. He’s exciting to watch and plays without fear. I’m glad to see Singletary isn’t being too stubborn about his previous support for Alex.
McNabb given 5 year 70m extension with 40m guaranteed after being benches for Grossman 2 weeks ago.
I think McNabb is still a lot better than his stats might suggest. He hasn’t looked great this season, there’s no doubt, but his supporting cast (particularly his o-line) has been as bad as he’s ever seen in his career. So I’ll cut him some slack for this season.
…but five years? He’ll be 39 at the end of that contract. The Redskins are really going to trust this guy to stay healthy at age 37 or 38? He’s been better at staying healthy over the last few years, but he’s still missing games here and there. And he hasn’t put together consecutive 16 game seasons since 01-02! Craziness.
I guess someone was going to give him that type of contract either way given his stature in the league. I’m glad that the team to give him a potentially franchise crippling contract is in the NFC East.
Uh…should we be saying goodbye to Shanahan?
Next week’s headline: “McNabb, Haynesworth buy out Redskins”.
Let’s wait and see what the contract details are. It’s an uncapped year and with a lot of that money guaranteed it might amount to a 2 year $40M deal. Still an insane amount of money for him but it might not be hindering them going forward from a cap standpoint.
Well then.
And again. Washington’s defense sure forgot to show up early.
At this point Philly might as well go for the single game scoring record.
Jerome Fucking Harrison.
lol I came to this thread specifically to see what SenorBeef had to say about that run.
(I don’t get why Jerome Harrison got traded. His stats at the end of the year seemed awesome for the Browns last year. But, as an Eagle fan I won’t complain.)
The current record is also against Washington.
I was beating myself up for benching Roethlesburger for Vick on my fantasy team. Vick has 3 quarters to get 6 points and pass him.
He’s having a great week this quarter.
I know Philly will take their foot off the gas and send in the backups but sometimes in situations like this I’d like to see just how much on as assbeating a team can deliver.
This is glorious.
Don’t let up.
Vick hasn’t thrown an interception all year. Impressive.
