I was impressed with his poise. But that only went so far. I wasn’t impressed with anything else. His arm looked weak and his decision-making weaker. Then again, he hasn’t had any work in practice, so maybe with a week of reps and focus with the first team, he’ll show some more.
Yeah, have to agree. Although my old coach use to say that a win is a win.
What worries more though is, if we struggle against a team like this - how will we do against The Ravens next week?
And possibly with Leftwich at the helm?
So many backups… I’m happy with mine, at least.
There’s a backup garygnu? Someone who steps in and posts for you if you get carpal tunnel or have spotty internet? I may have to get one of those.
The fans are clamoring for him, a bit of a gnu controversy.
It’s turned pretty ugly, too. The “fans” who cheered when your internet went down should really be ashamed.
I can hear the cries of “New Gnu” from here.
I honestly would have picked Charlie Batch to go over Leftwich. I like him, but the guy’s just not a good NFL quarterback. And apparently no one on either team did much “rain prep.”
I’ve always been a fan of Batch - IMO, a good steady workhorse of a QB. Maybe no flashes of brilliance, but usually reliable.
